I returned to the piano after the loss of my brother and wrote "Just", a tribute. It was the first piece I wrote for my felt piano album "Being in Time". The other pieces from the album followed from a similar place, and serve as a kind of expression of my first experience with true loss, the grieving process, and ultimately trying to make sense out of this thing, which ironically feels so utterly unnatural. Recorded in the living room of the house we grew up in.

This fourth volume marks a departure from those previous in that tracks are not repeated for barre exercises, in order to provide some exercises with alternative tempi or time signatures. This makes Volume 4 the most flexible and best value album to date, featuring 40 separate tracks that span a wide variety of musical genres
