90s High School student Duke listened to tape cassettes of Speed Garage on his walkman.  His eyes were nearly closed, his limbs struggling to remain still, his lips beatboxing along quietly to the bassline. 

During a class experiment taking apart electronics, he brought his grandfather's old AM radio.  Unbeknownst to the Duke, this radio altho looking nothing more than an antique, had been forever transformed from the fallout of radiation from an atom bomb detonation in 1945.  As Duke plugged in the radio, a freak accident occurred.  Suddenly there was a spine shattering crash and a blinding light. 1.21 jigowatts of electricity was unleashed causing a rift in the space-time continuum, and the young Duke was transported to a parallel world, one where the past, the present and the future were all merged.  

Back from his journey, the Duke is ready to unleash his Future Swing Time Machine on our world.  On this single 'Simon Says', LA-based Duke Skellington teams up with London MC Hypeman Sage for this no-nonsense lesson in Bass House.  Hypeman Sage wastes no time showing us how filthy he can get spitting lyrics over the Dukes brass-driven bass house.

The dynamic duo CATJAM have been busy building a reputation as one of the most exciting acts to emerge on the vintage remix scene in recent times. Over lockdown, C@ decided it was time he started learning to properly play piano, regularly tuning into his favourite pianist Arthur Migliazza.  While brushing up on his piano playing techniques one day he reached out, the pair got talking, and a new co-lab soon came about.  

Arthur Migliazza is an award-winning blues and boogie-woogie pianist who began wowing audiences at the age of 13. Arthur is known around the world for his stylistic authenticity and virtuoso technique, as well as being one of the most prominent teachers of the boogie-woogie piano style.

Electric Swing Circus's into track 'Her' from their album 'Pleasure Seekers.' 

The Electric Swing Circus are back to bring the 1920s to the 2020s with their innovative brand of synth pop and electro swing.  Their soaring pop vocals, jazz instrumentation and pulsing electronics feel both 100 years in the making and completely fresh.  

Having travelled around the world  showcasing their sound, The Electric Swing Circus are known for their captivating live performance combining gypsy jazz guitar, vintage samples, double bass, drums, synths, all fronted by two enchanting female vocalists.  Anyone who has been to one of their shows knows it is nothing short of exhilarating, and this is reflected in their recorded music. 

Their latest album 'Pleasure Seekers' has been ripe for remixes with the latest instalment coming from long time Electro Swing veteran and the head honcho of Thick Boy Records, Extra Medium.

Extra Medium's remix of the track 'Her' is a vibrant celebration of jazz, swing, UKG, future garage and 2-step.  The track takes us through a feel good jazzy and soulful intro laced with lush keys, brass licks and glitchy vocals, which builds in a deep pulsing UKG banger filled with more wubs than you can shake a stick at.

His tracks are made for the dance floor, but often feature him playing Trombone giving things a jazzy and melodic twist. Nowhere can this be heard better than on Crime of the Century.

Hailing from the vibrant music scene of the San Francisco Bay Area, SPEKRFREKS are back with their their remix of "The Window Song" by Full Tilt Collective on Ragtime Records.

Originally featured on Full Tilt Collective's EP "Raise the Roof," released in May 2023 on Ragtime Records, the album embodies themes of perseverance amidst chaos. Hindered by Covid lockdowns, the band's journey to recording this EP was fraught with challenges, including a tumultuous studio session coinciding with Storm Eunice, one of the UK's most powerful storms in thirty years. Despite adversity, Full Tilt Collective pushed through, their experiences shaping the EP's dynamic tracks.

'The Window Song' is a bombastic, gypsy-punk oddity fusing klezmer and ska with wild Balkan brass.  SPEKRFREKS inject their signature flair into the mix, embracing the original's chaos and tempo shifts to craft a unique, high-energy masterpiece blending Hard Dance, Breakbeat, and DnB.   Think Dance Dance Revolution meets klezmer and wild Balkan Brass.

SPEKRFREKS
SPEKRFREKS (pronounced speaker freaks) come from San Francisco, CA.  Musical collaborators since high school, this duo got their jump-start after being signed to remix Deadmau5 and Melleefresh in 2010, and helping to pioneer a popular Electro House sound. In 2013 they combined their love of 1920s Swing Music with hard-hitting Bass House and Glitch Hop using live  instruments combined with electronic productions. Since then they have released numerous albums and singles, including landing several releases at the top of the Beatport charts.

Full Tilt Collective
FTC's music blends diverse influences—funk, soul, reggae, ska, hip hop, afrobeat, and drum and bass—creating an original, captivating sound that solidifies their presence in the UK's alternative scene.  Though they enjoy studio time, Full Tilt Collective's heart lies in live performances. They frequently rock venues like Rich Mix, Boxxed Birmingham, and The Vaults, plus festivals like Isle of Wight and Moovin. Their energetic shows break the barrier between band and audience, with members often joining spectators, reminiscent of New Orleans' second line marching bands.
