Bryx is back! After a lengthy hiatus the Canadian beat smith is back with new music in the form of this amazing EP on Bombstrikes. Those who have been waiting for the Shambhala Music Festival regular to return will not be disappointed. Famed for his outlandish DJ skills, Bryx applies the same precision and quality control to his productions. Three tracks to choose from, starting with 'This Is It'. Strings meld with boom bap rhythms and intense bass to create something of a dance floor destroyer. 'Up in The Place' maintains the high quality levels, fusing hip hop with a heavy dose of Bass. Sliced bass-lines, filtered synths and thick drums rule the composition of the duo from Budapest… Having had a long No.1 Charts hit for Nipponeer Records on the previous release, Kid Panel has returned to the label delivering a special re-work to please all the old-school heads who were filling the dancefloors in the '90s. In case, you were familiar with the Big-Beat raves some twenty years ago, you'll be more than delighted to hear his contribution to the release… Introducing on the label, AGFA, the godfathers of new funky-breaks, is putting down a beautiful example how a proper remix shall be delivered! Leaving their signature on the sound, the guys from USA twirl it all up nice and bouncy.... Our torchbearer, Rory Hoy from the UK, participates even in two figures, introducing properly both sides of the golden ages of the music era called Big Beat. Nonetheless serious champion, our long-time runner, Pray For Bass from Spain, qualifies himself as a happy and easy-flow winner with his comfortable, yet energetic breaks remix. The heavy-weight wrestler, Groove Mind from Italy, also plays with us in the team this time, laying down glitchy barriers of bass-heavy party breaks packed with sporty guitar licks and jumpy organ riffs. The guys from Lack Jemmon representing the Eastern-block in the posse, bringing in some attitude to balanced uplifting beats accompanied with breezy funky flow, hence having a fat bass-line. Uniting the group together, we’ve the mighty veterans from the USA, All Good Funk Alliance to make sure each side of the funk-music is covered - thus, the release is read for the games...
