The Fritz, beat maker extraordinaire and all round sample-based music enthusiast from Cornwall, returns to Ragtime Records with a Jazz Hop double A side, Lemonade, and Back in '89. 

Packed with vintage samples from London's 1920s swing scene and iconic Film Noir vocals, Lemonade is a glitchy lo-fi beat that's filled with rare Big Band loops that are blended with authentic Boom-Bap drums, MPC style. 

Next up is Back in '89, a swingy nod to the Golden Era of Hip Hop that's as atmospheric as it is catchy, with a stuttered sample, neck-breaking head-nod rhythm, and a warm low-end that's just right.

Fresh off the back of the double AA release Lemonade, The Fritz returns with the latest installment of his film-noir inspired Jazz Hop series. 

Dripping with atmosphere and intrigue is the title track 'Good Morning, Sunshine', which features a rolling vintage-jazz sample, crisp drums, and a vocal hook from Raymon Chandler's The Big Sleep. Hot on its heels is followed up by 'Oohh!', a unique swung-out groover featuring a very Fritzy-sample from a country-inspired jazz album - yee haw!

This is a very special 1 hour DJ Mix I created in May 2019 that was released as "A Journey Through the Unknown." This was my first promo DJ mix since my long hiatus away from the decks for over a decade while I was producing the festival Earthdance Florida and other events. I created this mix during a time when I recently heard halftime bass music and it inspired me to blend Jungle, DNB, and Halftime together to take my listeners on an unpredictable journey through the unknown. A journey we are all familiar with. This is a remastered version for your listening pleasure. Enjoy the Ride!

A Drop In The Park (April 2023)

This one was tough to fit into a genre.  I just wanted to throw a bunch of different bass music styles into a daytime festival mix for my spot at Social Grooves on the "Drum and Bass" stage.   I threw some mixed bangers into a short list and got to work.  Flips from Drum and Bass and uptempo tings to House, then down to midtempo, moombah amapiano, then back up to house bangers then Booty Breaks for the finish.  Hope you dig it.
