Born and raised in California, now-Hawaii-based ezwhip remembers with vivid clarity the exact moment he first heard the opening notes of Erasure’s “Who Needs Love Like That?,” launching a now 35-year-plus love affair with electronic music. His pioneering early 90s radio show Chillspace explored the nascent genre of ambient house, but it was turn-of-the-century Burning Man that dumped rocket fuel onto a burgeoning obsession with the broken beat. He gravitates towards high-vibe music with a visceral feel - grimy and grindy, bassy and bouncy. His mixes reflect a passion for a variety of styles and genres, weaving fresh sounds with properly-cellared bangers to inspire both old heads and new generations of bass-chasing, booty-shaking beat freaks.

SF based Kotton Dandy is a huge fan of breaks and sometimes higher energy House music. If you put him on very late at night he might show off his semi-secret fascination with gothy techno.

Kotton is part of the magical community of fun-making called Decadent Oasis. You might know them as the LED tree people at Burning Man. They do their best to make Bay Area fun on a regular basis.
