The Egyptian Star's exquisite beauty is like a cascade of stars blooming right before your eyes. Its delicate star-shaped flowers, like a scattering of little magical stars, open on the bush like secret messages of love, creating an atmosphere of magic and romance.

Like dewdrops, the flowers of this plant, with their rich colours ranging from pink to purple, are a delight to behold. Pentas lanceolata becomes a bridge between us and the mysterious world of nature, reminding us of the beauty of that moment when beauty and tenderness meet.

Composed during a recent trip to a windy and often wet South West Scotland (near Kirkcudbright). "Classical" music but employing synthesizers. Some modal/ambiguous harmonies but quite conventional over all,I think.

But this sixth member is not a permanent member. She is often absent at the rehersals !

For those who love Jules Verne... While trying ideas for Debra Buesking's Nautilus, I wrote down this text, and later found that Dave Rose's nostalgic instrumental provided a nice ambiance to sing it. Dave was kind enough to allow me to use it.

** Nautilus Lost **

From the depths of despair
and the maelstroms of emotions
Captain Nemo rammed the ships
for the sake of revenge.

Searching the oceans for a vague relief
he roamed the deep an crushing emptyness.
He fought, encircled by giant squids,
once imprisoned by treacherous  ice.

He searched for the ships
that flew on their stern the hated flag.
He scored in vain.
He could not heal the pain he felt for his slaughtered children,
the sorrow for his murdered wife.
He rammed the ships
and watched them go down
as sunsets of his lonely life.

Graphic artist, writer, and just a budding musician.

Playing piano is my daily therapy against stress. That also repels the rodents that attempt to squat my attic in winter !

As an insomniac, I mainly play at night. Each improvisation is like a snapshot of my mood and state of mind of the instant.

I record almost everything I play. From time to time one of these improvisations inspires me enough, and I use it as a basis for a composition.
