Everything was played in live in my DAW of choice Ableton, off the grid, no click track. All improvised in a one take per track fashion, in order to catch musical ideas under pressure. Only slight edits have been made afterwards, so as to preserve the original intentions.

This recording shows that an adult beginner can interpret a piano piece very emotionally after only a few months of Claviertuoso piano lessons. The melancholic arc of tension of this interpretation requires a very nuanced approach. Le Chat is the soundtrack to the French drama of the same name, for which Philippe Sarde wrote the music.

Playing piano is my daily therapy against stress. That also repels the rodents that attempt to squat my attic in winter !

As an insomniac, I mainly play at night. Each improvisation is like a snapshot of my mood and state of mind of the instant.

I record almost everything I play. From time to time one of these improvisations inspires me enough, and I use it as a basis for a composition.
