Dualism again on No. 36 - today with Dauw & Schemering. 
These two guys from Belgium are melting together on their expeditions to ADE, Garbicz, Africa Burn or Tulum. While Dauw means condensation of atmospheric moisture in the morning or evening, Schemering could be the reflection of soft glowing light when the sun is below the horizon.

As real moodmakers they're very passionate and determined to take people on a rhythmic journey covering a broad spectrum of emotions and musical styles, while serving it to the crowd on a silver plate.

So nach einen überlangen und grandiosen Weekend in Berlin … hat sich leider der heutige Podcast etwas verspätet … passiert mir sonst nie … aber war so in Vorfreude auf Berlin.

Aber heute sind wir mal nicht in Berlin sondern im schönen Minga (oder auch München genannt). Vero Fuchs hab ich über ein Bahnwärter Thiel Mitschnitt von ihr entdeckt und das hat mich gleich so gefangen genommen, das ich sofort einen Podcasttermin mit ihr vereinbart habe.

Vero Fuchs ist Musikliebhaberin und sucht stets nach akustischen Schätzen. Sobald sie ein paar Schmuckstücke gefunden hat, verwöhnt sie ihre Zuhörer mit einem melodischen Mix aus treibenden Beats und psychedelischen Basslines. Sie startete ihre DJ Karriere in ihrem Fuchsbau, aus dem sie im Schutz der dunklen Nacht herauskletterte, um in Münchner Bars und Clubs, wie Harry Klein und Bahnwärter Thiel, aufzulegen und festzustellen, dass sie seither viel Freude hat, ihren melodischen Mix zum Besten zu geben.

Liebe Vero … da hast du aber zauberhafter 74 Minuten melodisch zusammengeführt … tausend Dank und hoffentlich mal bald in München live und in Farbe. Und meinen lieben Hörern wünsch ich nun viel Spaß im Fuchsbau mit Vero Fuchs … Bald kommt der Frühling …

There was no way we could reject @tantrut when he proposed to write a description for his own mix. 

"About a year ago I went through a dark period in my life. I wasn’t feeling well after I had partied too hard on a festival in Germany. I decided to stop drinking for a while and one year later I quit drinking alcohol completely during the same event. It turned out to be one of the best festivals I have ever done. I was energized, happy and connected with so many people. The complete opposite of my performance the year before. This mix was recorded right when I got home from that festival. It is dedicated to my Spirit Animal, which, funny enough, is not my dog but my dear friend Paris. We have had many hilarious experiences, and I had pain in my stomach from laughing. So Spirit Animal, thanks for being there in the darkest and brightest moments of my life. This one is for you! Thank you for all the support during all my gigs!! And thank you, Rambalkoshe family, for featuring me!! One day I will visit Armenia and I know I have a home there. Keep on spreading the brightness!!"

In these unparalleled times, Paboona & Roswitha are also in quarantine. Yet, they have managed to create a musical Voyage together, but in an unconventional way. This podcast has been recorded in a unique sequence: part of the set recorded from Paboona's little house in the forest, then flying digitally to Roswitha, who recorded her part by a cosy church steeple in Amsterdam, and back.

🗯🗯 How did Corona change your artist life?🗯🗯

When the first lockdown started in March 2020, we were 2 weeks ahead of a touring year that would have been amazing! Besides our hand-picked home-favourite festivals in the summer where we love to play, like Fusion Festival, Garbicz Festival and Sa Terza Metari, we were co-producing with our visual artist Robert Metzner (Conzum) in collaboration with the Zeiss-Planetarium in Jena, a 3D surrounding sound and visual show including dance interventions. This show is for sure something we are willing to retake as soon as it will be possible again. We also had some bookings confirmed in Africa for which we were coordinating a Mini Tour together with NAPALMA music.
 
Well, some things still happened and other got cancelled, but completely new things came up as well.
 
Last year She Knows got two sponsorships from the Musicboard Berlin. The first one was to produce our second EP Natural Medicina and it’s official videoclip released last June on Sirin Music, for what we had the chance to collaborate with other amazing international artists. The second sponsorship we received in October 2020 for the inland residency at Sternhagen Gut, Uckermark, curated by Gudrun Gut. During this residency Marcel and I had the chance to explore other ways of composing together. We have been using and experimenting the available technologies which allows us to work with physical absence. The Pandemic forced everyone to find new ways of working together.

🗯🗯 Where did you record the mix and how did you feel? 🗯🗯

This mix is made with Love and admiration for our beloved and impressive electronic music scene of Berlin. It somehow felt like a fantastic puzzle featuring great tracks of what has been our influences over the past decade.
 
Basically what we had over the past 10 years in Berlin, not only in terms of electronic music production, not only in terms of hosting international and eclectic live acts - the best of the best in electronic and dance music.  Berlin has been that stage hosting the best dancers. In electronic music dancing people are the source, dancing people are the stars.
With this we just want to say: THANKS, BERLIN

🗯🗯 What are your wishes for the time after Corona? 🗯🗯

We do not know in which form we will evolve, we do not know what kind of events we might be able to play at in the future. But in terms of music, we are not in a hurry, we compose when we feel the inspiration to compose, we record when we have the time or money to do so, we release when we have something to show, this is the way we like to curate our project.
 
For the moment we can only say that from March on, we will retake the production of our upcoming EP, that resulted from material recorded during the artist residency at Sternhagen Gut. We also joint recently the studio of Zeno Mainardi in Mitte, having again a studio room changes everything, and we are very happy about it. We will be back soon!
