 Ram Dass leads a 35 minute meditation, originally recorded January 1981, in Sydney Australia. 

Ram Dass guides a soma (divine nectar) meditation, focusing on drawing the living spirit in through the breath and body - and releasing the stuff in you that is keeping you from being with the universe: fears, negativity, doubt, inadequacy, anger, loneliness...replenishing your body with healing energy. Release the things you don't need in order to be in the spirit.

Enjoy a Healing Sound Journey to balance your Solar Plexus Chakra. 
The solar plexus/ navel Chakra, or Manipura, is located between the navel and breastbone. It represents our personal power system and the seat of our ego, strength and anger. 
Respective organs are the stomach, intestines, gallbladder, liver, pancreas and spleen. 
When the solar plexus is open, we are confident, in control and feel immense self-esteem. A blockage here can represent digestion or liver/gallbladder issues and spiritually cause an inability to control oneself and or fear of rejection. Its associated color is yellow.

When your Manipura Chakra is balanced you are full of energy, effectiveness, spontaneity and the power of a true leader. You will take on a task and complete it and not be bound by perfectionism. You will radiate warmth and love to all and have confidence, self-respect and self-power.

The Manipura is associated with several characteristics:
- avoiding relationships of co-dependency
- releasing fear of being different
- learning to take responsibility
- remembering that knowledge is power
- negative notions about power
- Importance of discipline
- earning self respect
- learning to say "no"
- developing leadership skill

For this Sound Journey I used the planetary frequency of the Sun (126.22 Hz, according to "the cosmic octave" by Hans Cousto) to balance and heal the Solar Plexus chakra (Manipura). Supported by instrumental elements, organic percussion and natural atmospheres, this Sound Journey provides a deep, meditative Sonic Experience.

Understanding the Act of Creation • Meditation

Begin this prayer by focusing on the cycle of your breath. On the inbreathe imagine breathing light into the sacral and allowing that light to grow with each breath into a sparkling sphere of pure pranic light. Asking your Body Elemental to assist you in holding this light and building this light in the sacral centre. 

As this sphere of light builds imagine calling it up into your heart and from there into your hands. And into this sphere of light say the following prayer mentally or out aloud. Once the prayer has been repeated three times you will be asked to surrender the sphere of light carrying your prayer to the sun, to the Temple of the Higher Self.

Prayer to the Higher Self

' you will get somewhere
figuring out what you are not '

you do not bleed all over a wound
to stop it bleeding

yet humans do this
emotionally

plugged into the recall mind
accuses your innocent light nature
of it all over and over 
thinking this rings remedy through self suffering

and not saying it is easy to understand
and get scent of that and stop
as it is going on of places unseen
human has yet to venture as light until
it exercises its power over its
weakness and awakes

acclimatises to
its self animation

but as of now
being mentally aware you do it
with your own thought energy
and unveiling the game you recollect
and play upon yourself

is the first step to recovering
your light and charge and evolving out of it all

Ram Dass Breathing Meditation

Ram Dass first went to India in 1967. He was still Dr. Richard Alpert, a prominent Harvard psychologist and psychedelic pioneer with Dr. Timothy Leary. He continued his psychedelic research until that fateful Eastern trip in 1967, when he traveled to India. In India, he met his guru, Neem Karoli Baba, affectionately known as Maharajji, who gave Ram Dass his name, which means “servant of God.” Everything changed then – his intense dharmic life started, and he became a pivotal influence on a culture that has reverberated with the words “Be Here Now” ever since. Ram Dass’ spirit has been a guiding light for three generations, carrying along millions on the journey, helping to free them from their bonds as he works through his own.
