RAMEFF ॐ - Never Sleep Again & GrooveWell Camp - License To Kamp - 2024, California ✺

This was a very special set for me not just because it was on my birthday, but because as I was playing I remembered that I had come to Roy on my birthday last year, as an attendee. I remembered the kind of person I was at that moment one year ago and how far I'd come - personally and professionally. I had been booked by Paolo to play after him, from 5am to close. He had heard a downtempo set of mine at another event, and asked me to play that style. So, I came prepared with an arsenal of chill dreamy music. But the truth is that when I arrived at 4am the place was on fire. Paolo had the vibe so high that I knew I couldn't bring it down and had to kinda wing the whole thing- something I would have been so terrified to do a year ago (I am an over-thinker and a perfectionist and prep music for every gig). But it taught me a lesson to trust myself and be confident and know that you can do it and just flow and it will all be OK. Hope you enjoy the flow..

Welcome to this new RISE Breathwork journey — a 25-minute practice created to help you ground, reset, and integrate after Burning Man. The playa has a way of expanding us, cracking us open, and showing us new layers of ourselves. This session is designed to help you anchor those lessons, release what no longer serves, and carry the essence of your Burn back into daily life.

Your guide: Joep Mencke — breathwork facilitator, DJ, and music producer — has led sessions across the globe for the past three years. His mission is to make transformation accessible and to support integration beyond peak experiences. In this practice, you’ll move through cycles of conscious connected breathing (activation) and retentions (relaxation) — all supported by an original soundtrack composed by Joep. The music blends grounding textures, expansive harmonies, and immersive soundscapes, guiding you into presence and deeper connection.

What to expect in this session:
• 25-minute guided breathwork journey
• Four cycles designed for grounding and integration after Burning Man (Joy, Lessons, Letting Go, and Connection)
• Original music and soundscapes by Joep Mencke
• Focussed on reflection and integration
• Accessible to all levels — no prior experience required

Wearing headphones is a must — they help you stay in your own bubble and fully immerse without distractions from your environment.

Can be done sitting or lying down in a comfortable, undisturbed space.

Breathwork Instructions

This is a connected breath practice — no pause between inhale and exhale.
• Inhale: Belly & chest expand
• Exhale: Belly & chest fall
• Breathing in: Mouth (more powerful) or nose (gentler)
• Breathing out: Mouth
• Each cycle includes dynamic breathing followed by two retentions (~45 sec after exhale, then ~45 sec after inhale).
• You may feel tingling, changes in temperature, or mild muscle tension — these are normal effects of breathwork.
• If overwhelmed, return to gentle breathing in and out through the nose (focus on prolonging your exhale).
• Always listen to your body and never force anything.

⚠ Important Contraindications

If you have a history of psychosis or epileptic seizures, this practice is not for you.

If you are currently pregnant, please listen closely to your body. Only participate if it feels right for you — and do not perform or hold any of the breath retentions.

If in doubt, consult your physician.
