Peru is a country in western South America, bordering Ecuador and Colombia to the north, Brazil to the east, Bolivia to the southeast, Chile to the south, and the Pacific Ocean to the west. The etymology of the country's name is explained in the etymological list of country names.

It is home to part of the Amazon rainforest and Machu Picchu, an ancient Inca city high in the Andes. The area around Machu Picchu, including the Sacred Valley, the Inca Trail, and the colonial city of Cusco, boasts numerous archaeological sites. Japan is an East Asian state in the Pacific comprising 14,125 islands, indirectly bordering Russia to the north and northwest, North and South Korea to the west, and Taiwan and China to the southwest. It is the fourth largest island state in terms of area and the second largest in terms of population. The de facto capital and largest urban settlement is Tokyo, which was abolished as a political entity in World War II; de jure there is a “capital area” made up of eight prefectures including Tokyo.

The formation of the Japanese state began in the 5th century under the cultural influence of the Chinese Empire. Japan had been in contact with the West since the 16th century and rose to become a great power in the 19th century, acquiring colonies such as Korea and Taiwan, taking part in both world wars and briefly ruling large parts of Southeast and East Asia. In the Japanese state formed under Douglas MacArthur's occupation government since 1947, the sovereign is the people, the highest organ of state power the parliament, whose chambers have since then both been directly elected by the people. The empire was not abolished, but the emperor, as a “symbol of the state,” was reduced to ceremonial tasks without independent authority in state affairs. Apart from Japan, there is no longer any country in the world whose head of state is an emperor.

Japan is one of the most densely populated countries in Asia and, with almost 126 million inhabitants, is the eleventh most populous country in the world. Most residents are followers of Shintoism and Buddhism.

As the historically first industrial nation in Asia, Japan has a very highly developed economy and was, for many decades, the world's second largest economic power behind the United States, with which it has been a military ally since 1952, until the economic upswing of the People's Republic of China in the early 2000s. As a member of the Group of Seven, Japan is one of the largest industrial nations and part of the OECD. Sudan is a country in northeast Africa with access to the Red Sea. It borders Egypt to the north, Eritrea to the east, Ethiopia to the southeast, South Sudan to the south, the Central African Republic to the southwest, Chad to the west, and Libya to the northwest. With an area of ​​more than 1.8 million square kilometers, the country is about five times the size of Germany and the third-largest country in the African continent. South Sudan has been independent from Sudan since the 2011 referendum. Until South Sudan's independence, Sudan was the largest African country by area.

Mongolia is a landlocked country in East Asia, between Russia and China. Territorially over four times the size of Germany, the country is the least populated country in the world with around three million inhabitants. More than 40 percent of the country's population lives in the capital Ulaanbaatar. The majority of the population are Mongolians, the slight majority of whom follow Mongolian Buddhism.

The national territory covers most of the Mongolian Plateau. Due to the nature of the soil and the climate, agriculture can hardly be practiced in Mongolia. The landscape is dominated by grassy steppes, with mountains to the north and west, and the Gobi Desert to the south. The most important economic sectors are nomadic livestock farming and mining. The country is one of the ten countries richest in raw materials in the world.

Excavations in the Gobi show that Homo erectus lived in what is now Mongolia 500,000 years ago. Even before the beginning of the Christian era, equestrian nomads such as the Xiongnu or Xianbei united to form large tribes. In 1206, Genghis Khan founded the Mongol Empire, which stretched across Asia and into Europe and was the largest territorially contiguous empire in human history. His grandson Kublai Khan conquered China and founded the Yuan dynasty. After the collapse of this empire, Buddhism increasingly dominated the state. During the Qing Dynasty, “Outer Mongolia” was created as a Chinese province in 1644 on the territory of today's Mongolian state.

From 1912 the region gained extensive autonomy rights. In 1921, the Soviet Union established a puppet government, which proclaimed the Mongolian People's Republic in 1924. During its existence, it was completely dependent on the Soviet Union politically, militarily and economically. It was only during the revolutions in 1989 that the country made the peaceful transition to a democratic parliamentary system of government. On February 12, 1992, parliament sealed the end of the communist system by adopting a new constitution. Since then, Mongolia has been a stable democracy. According to the 2022 Democracy Index, Mongolia is the only democracy in the world completely surrounded by clear dictatorships. The Mongolian population is particularly concerned about the relationship with China, as they are aware of the lack of chances in a possible military conflict and are increasingly becoming dependent on this threatening backdrop.

This song began when Carl, who is always making connections on the Cloud, was inspired to write a song about our bandmate, Mark. As you can tell from his lyrics, Carl shares our appreciation and respect for our resident Canadian singer and multi instrumentalist. So, when he had the chords worked out on his acoustic guitar, and a great vocal track, he recorded them and started a project, to which the rest of Eclectic Collective were invited.
  First up to bat was Ken, laying in his always clever, essential beat for the rest of us to work with. Stephen was the next person to lay down a track, which was his essential, but subtle electric rhythm track. Later, after it was almost done, he also added a fiery solo in the firt part of the ending section. Josh came along right after Stephen, laying down his signature fretless bass. He also added the organ shortly after, as well. Tez entered the fray next, adding the lightning, Gilmore-esque final solo in the end section. 
  We considered what to do with this song for a minute, too. The thought was whether to present it to Mark as a gift, or to include him in the mix. We decided to go with the latter, and he added the awesome vocalizations towards the end, as well as some cool triangle.
  Once we had it in the bag, we turned it over to Stephen for the production, mix, and mastering, which he always does in a very pro manner.
  This is our second of hopefully many songs with Carl. If you have good music on your page, there's a good chance that he'll hit you up to collaborate. Like the moon, he's everywhere, and he's a damn fine collaborator, too. We hope you enjoy hearing this as much as we enjoyed creating it.

Even as a small child I wanted to learn a musical instrument...

...since there was a music school in our small town where I grew up, but it was limited to the activities of the local musicians' band, the choice was rather limited... because piano, guitar or saxophone were not offered and that's why I decided me for the trumpet, which was not used for cast-technical reasons, so the FLÜGELHORN became my instrument...
In my youth I turned my back on music and was active in sports towards the end of my teenage years.
