Written in 1992 using Emax sampler and Atari 520ST and Dr T's KCS sequencing software, plus Sequential Circuits Drumtraks. Content: Samples from John Stevens, Chief Ebeneezer Obey, Lee Purkis (In Sync)'s TR909 programming, Capital Letters and added during mixing in 2023, some random geezer in the Internet street shouting "Hey! I'm gonna kill you with love!" Stems mixed by Trevor Lancaster Smith @ Fluffy Puppy Studio for forthcoming Ramjac album "88-92".

The inaugural psychedelic ambient event, Resonance is an exploration of the harmonic relationship between light, sound, and settings in some of the Calderdale (West Yorkshire) most ethereal and intriguing spaces.

Taking place at 9A Projects featuring John Haycock (Kora, woodwind + electronics) on January 27th, with accompanying visuals by Jamie House (crystal motion projector and refractor).

These events will highlight the natural reverberation of the spaces themselves as musical instruments and explore how their acoustic architecture interplays with the space and visuals.

Resonance DJs continue the ambient flow into the evening and we are really happy that NTS host AHRKH (of the Golden Ratio Frequencies show) will close after John with his selection of mind-expanding, transcendental deep vibrations.

The Resonance theme will continue with further events held in different locations throughout Calderdale, West Yorkshire and we are excited about hosting the first of these experiences at 9A Projects, Todmorden within the historic walls of Robinwood Mill.

A free event although donations are very welcome to help continue the series.

Ramjac Corporation is one of UK's unsung electronic pioneers, known for his voltaic live shows during the acid house explosion, jamming his original flavour of sampled beats live from his Atari and Emulator sampler. Ramjac performed at the now legendary Sunrise, Energy and Back To The Future raves, touring with Orbital, The Shaman and The Irresistible Force.
Best known for his releases on cult record label Irdial Discs, his now highly sought after and much heralded classic “"Cameroon Massif!” EP has become a feature of the more ground-breaking DJs again and was re-issued last summer by Emotional Rescue Recordings, including a never heard before “live" version, now to be followed by further unreleased material from the period, mixed and also being performed live from 8 track reel to reel tape machines.
Ramjac''s rhythmic programming style, weighted by his training with West African and Cuban drummers, led him to work with the likes of Coldcut and Herbie Hancock, Juno Reactor and Ojos de Brujo, Mark Stewart and Asian Dub Foundation. According to ADF's Dr Das, “What Ramjac does, is show up the relationships between different musics and the routes they have taken. More than a lot of people, Ramjac is the missing link between house, acid house, breakbeat, jungle and dub and percussion based musics.”
Ramjac's current live reel to reel shows regularly feature long time collaborator Milo Lapis of the 50-50 Sound System, as heard on Resonance 104.4 FM for the past 17 years.
