Never to return, now it's  a real concern.

I trace her name in the sand washed by the tide.
I take a swig of rum just to burn my insides.
I think about her smile, and I'm caught in a net.
Twelve more swigs of rum so I can try to forget.
I rack my brain for a reason to contact her.
I come up with bupkiss, now I'm feeling worse.
She does'nt want to see me even through a spyglass.
I can't begin to blame her, too much time has passed.

I dedicate this song to all of my ancestors. These two in photo are my grandfather and great grandfather, celebrated at the Relay for Life. When we're young we dont have an understanding of a full life lived, so I encourage all of you, especially the young ones, to get to know your grandparents. They have experience to share, and a limited amount of time to share it. Please, listen to them.

I recorded half of this track last year and then forgot about it. When I found it again, enough time had apparently passed to inspire more creativity. My brain is a strange thing.
