Now Sweden's Opolopo (hot from his Gregory Porter “1960 What” rework) gives the track an 80’s boogie/proto house rework.

Squelchy stabs and funked up synth bass make this a sure fire winner for both the muso’s and dancefloors.

Yes, there are quite a few boogie influenced house tracks but most of them are based around big samples, where as this contains none.

This is one of the few remixes I've done over the years.  I made this after a trip to Maui when I first fell in love with this track by Brenda Fassie.  Brenda passed away on May 9 2004 at the age of 39.  She remains one of the greatest voices of South African music.   My remix makes the most sense at about 6am on a huge soundsystem in the tropics.

Halo je melodický perkusní hudební nástroj pocházející z Ameriky. Někdy je označován za „plechový buben", ale ve skutečnosti se nejedná o druh bubnu, neboť Hang patří mezi samozvučné nástroje, na rozdíl od bubnu, který patří mezi membránové nástroje. Spíš než bubnům je tedy příbuzný činelům nebo steelpanu.

Vznikl jako výsledek mnohaletého výzkumu sbírky rozličných nástrojů z celého světa zahrnující bubny, ghatam nebo gamelan. Poprvé se objevil na festivalu Musikmesse Frankfurt 2001. Vzhled hangu je přisuzován výrobcům hudebních nástrojů Felixu Rohnerovi a Sabině Schärerové.
