The next instalment of the Slow Motion Soundtracks Serie, this time from Pordenone‘s Alessandro Parisi. Interested in esoteric and religious texts, this comes across loud and clear in his stunning, ethereal E.P Andromeda, which at turns send shivers down your spine and expands your mind. Having released on the likes of Giallo Disco and Charlois, this is Alessandro’s first release on Slow Motion. These ecclesiastical synth workouts are sure to inspire clubbers and thinkers alike. Solid.

"Benedikt Frey and Naia d’Alò's Init project received great initial praise through two well conceived pieces for John Talabot's Hivern disco back in 2015. Now the pair are back on Les Disques De La Mort with a four track EP rich with their moody techno delights.

"Stereometric" sees a swollen electric base gently plume as ghostly vox and slowly eroding artefacts are scattered through the mix; landing somewhere between Bay Area minimal wave and the taut techno meanderings of Marcel Dettman. 

"Nuts" is an anthemic slice of darkwave electro; tense, a little bit menacing and cinematic as hell - conjuring images of late night mutant car chases through guttural cityscapes. 

"Wheels" sees us dive down smacked-out electro-post-punk rabbit hole; landing in a drug stained bedsit around Hulme Crescents circa '89 with next doors party still in full swing two days since it began. 

"Mindwork" invites said neighboring crusties to an all-night post-Goa-trance rave up on some moonlit beach and populated by shady drug dealers and Mad Max type characters all locked into its full-throttle stomp. "

Spencer Miles is muisician based in Portland, Oregon. Been already seen with his debut release on Bordello A Parigi in 2018, he is back now to the XXX with his new work.
Heady kicks, claps and pads, vocals that seem to have lost faith and hope in the reality of the passing, Inverted Reallity doesn't even go halfway to describing this one. C.A.R. -  Becoming Strangers

Trilogy of Disjunction is an emotive collection of three ambient drone tracks composed by Italian multi-instrumentalist Natasha Giordano. They feature a minimal combination of analog synthesizers, classical violin recordings and haunting vocals by Natasha. Parisinos and Birds incorporate hypnotic acid lines, strong percussion and evolving textures in their re-imaginations of 'Dear Hollows' taking it to darker places and underground dance-floors.

North and South Italy meet to experiment something new together.

The Year of Fear - as we call it not without irony - has also been a source of inspiration during the lockdown through old movies on TV, that’s how producer Billy Bogus (Modena) - a serious movie junkie and OST digger - while leading his own cinematic corner "Night Movie" on the fashion blog "Beat to Be" virtually met Vincenzo and Christian from Outtake (Naples). They began discussing the rising menace of the Covid-19 like it was a Sci-Fi B-Movie "and you know what? It was". After several movies... all their different inputs came to create a peculiar EP.

Truly inspired by "The Year of Fear' and by all the post-atomic, apocalyptic and cinematic imagery and fed by B movies and the dystopian reality on the street. The title track revolves around a stunting vibe, with soundtracks samples, hypnotic voices and “end of the world” explosions, while the remix by Italo Disco rising star Daniel Monaco takes us to a contaminated beach from a Joe D’Amato’s movie, between twilight atmosphere and car rides in Miami. Cobra Verde (inspired by Werner Herzog’s cult movie) is an electro weapon, minimal and groovy, ready to strike with darkling pads and dubby echos, its mood reminds of a zombie breakdancing in Wall Street. The remix by heavyweight Hard Ton is for hot jumpers. Male vocals, groovy synths and the unlimited will to make the dance floor great again.

No doubt "Apocalisso!" is the soundtrack of the times.
