Written and produced by PAL (Arnaud Nourisson, Guillaume Kohn , Pieter Polspoel), an occasional grouping of the individual artists behind Plein Sud and Undo Seat Belts, the album is a love letter to Parc Royal, the place Kiosk Radio has called home since its creation in 2017. The 9 tracks move effortlessly between downtempo, wave/synth pop, ambient and spoken word, never sacrificing the groove and power of the outcome.
Recorded during the lonely winter months of 2020, the band reflected on their favorite spots throughout the park, which took on even more meaning during the lockdown. From the metro station to the Palais Royal to the kiosk itself, each track bears a different energy and intensity, echoing the natural aspects of the park and the musical eclecticism that Kiosk Radio has come to represent.
The tracks were originally commissioned by local art center Beursschouwburg as part of their On The Go sound walk series. The result had such an impact on the team at Kiosk that they knew it had to be the label’s first release.

Staying loyal to his eclecticism, Mori Ra approaches this time a lil more to the dancefloor by doing a more hedonistic work than his previous release on “MM Discos” , an exuberant “disco-no-disco” exercise mixed with ethnic references, wicked percussion, charming marimbas and an endless of psychedelic elements. 

A record done for the soul; spiritual, mystic, highly addictive and 100% danceable. A very special release where the Japanese artist has involved his son who helped with choosing the sound source for this record.

Accents Records returns, for its ACCENTAPE series, with a split EP between Faintface and Abu Ama. This series focuses on the introduction of emerging artists, offering them to share their very own vision on original opuses, without any compromise.

On this matter, ACCENTAPE006 particularly stands out. With its extreme weather, forecasting the largest amplitudes of temperature, this is one of our most radical releases yet. Featuring both the glacial and melancholic fogs of Faintface and the warm trippy oriental dubs of Abu Ama, this record oscillates between red and blue, ice and fire, ambient minimalism and sound-system aesthetics. 'Aggelos first approached Lurid Music with the idea for this project a few months ago. We agreed on one condition, that all proceeds be donated to refugee causes, like we did with his Black Sea EP which supported the Syrian refugee crisis. When Russia invaded Ukraine, we decided our focus had to be helping the Ukrainian refugees who were forced to leave their homes in search of safe havens abroad.

We discussed this with most contributors to the project and the consensus was that donations should strictly go to humanitarian groups and not any armament funds. There were also some thoughts about helping conflict-affected peoples in other parts of the world but we decided it was too much to tackle for a relatively small project like this one.

Therefore, donations stemming from the sales of this release will be distributed to the following humanitarian groups currently active in Ukraine or neighboring countries welcoming refugees:

Earlier last year Vito Roccoforte and Gabriel Andruzzi aka members of the era-defining NY post-punkers The Rapture emerged from their DFA/major label hangovers into a world of sonic wanderlust with their debut long-player ‘I Hear’ under their Mother Of Mars guise.

Emulating all that was good and great about the rhythm section of their previous incarnation but exploring corners all-new, on 'I Hear' they enlisted a third bandmate; Jaiko Suzuki, on vocals. The album ventured down different tributaries, journeying into psych, kosmische, avant-garde, fourth world and new age dreamscapes.
The resulting album provided technicolour bleeps, drones, ethereal singing and a plethora of percussion interweave, like a fractal mosaic in harmonious sensorium.

Now on 'We Hear' the band mobilises rising producers, friends new and old, to remix the best tracks from the LP. First up Russia’s @natasha_bai takes 'Through The' out into the morning light as the sun breaks over the horizon. Natasha’s touch is marked by her ambient-pop influences, transporting the listener through otherworldly universes.

Next up is the amazing Mozambican producer and DJ Nandele (@nndle) with his new project Cntrl Alt Del (a collaboration between Nandele, Marco Dray and Roberto Chitsonso Jr.), going into full band wig-out mode on their take on 'Durga & Demon'. The project sees the three musicians and composers merge local traditional
Mozambican music - in particular, traditional music from Cabo Delgado - with techno and other electronic music genres. Nandele is a well-established figure in the Maputo music scene, being one of the most
innovative DJs and producers to come out of the southeast coast of Africa.

Then @borusiade’s interpretation of 'I Hear' - the LP's title track - disappears down electronic avenues of psychedelic wonderment, marked by their trademark sound, often dark and melodic, filled with piercing bass lines and immersive sonic vibrations.

Finally, Brooklyn-based Abby Echiverri (@echiverri) takes the tempo down a notch, evolving 'Matteruno's haunting vocals atop stuttered beats. A Drexciyan atmosphere seems to halt time for a short interim, releasing ethereal vocals, intertwined with distorted keys of analogue masterpiece.

Invisible Inc is over the moon to finally be announcing this long-awaited double album of new music by Secret Circuit.

Presented here are 21 new pieces (or 22 if you count the bandcamp-exclusive digital bonus) recorded between 2020 and 2022 which capture that spacey, otherworldly quality Secret Circuit is known for but they also very much veer into the warmer, earthier and generally more ambient textural territories of his E Ruscha V and Only Thingz work...an altogether softer sensibility. The fact that the second disc of the double album is primarily ambient further confuses the issue! But Secret Circuit this most definitely is!

From a plethora of demos (60+) Invisible Inc label boss GK Machine wanted to distill these down and explore a side of Ruscha's that he felt hadn't been heard before, focussing on Ruscha's more emotive yet at the same time experimental side. Is that a paradox? Well, let's say only very rarely do we hear modular synths doing something so human-sounding, and when these are juxtaposed alongside slide guitars, live bass and vocodered vocals, we have something very special indeed.

Then there's the artwork...all lovingly drawn by E Ruscha V himself and landing on our desk long after the record had gone into production and test pressings delivered and approved. The package is made complete with a double-sided colour insert with liner notes and another of Ruscha's mind-warping doodles. Oh and the liner notes are written in reverse so you'll need a mirror to read them. Of course they are!

To cut a long story short, everything about this release is archetypal classic Secret Circuit and couldn't be anyone else. A highpoint for the label in 2023, no doubt.

Even a historical pandemic couldn't take summer hits away from our hearts. Exceptional circumstances means extraordinary compilation.

Worst Records' hall of fame welcomes new faces around the pool for a 13-stages enlightened drama. You'll meet again with the top 3 podium made of A Strange Wedding, Jacques Satre and Christian Coiffure, all rensponsible for our first three releases, building up a mesmerizing, out of season mental workout. Extending the dimension of trance towards Saint-Etienne, Del.Duc brings on a curious yet serene astral travel, and we can also count on the distant reinforcements from the Toulouse Gouffre Club crew with Jan Loup and her glitch spangled hazy dub from far futures and the new trance comer from Bordeaux, Lazuli.
Special friends are also gathering here, as Myako is sewing on thin fabric a vaporous dub in shades of grey, the one-and-only master touki Théo Muller delivers a cinematic remedy to confinement.
Liberation through hearing, it is, as borders explode with the presence of many : Yin Yang Audio in a transatlantic IDM/break jump, Forest on Stasys (aka Mental Resonance) and his tough shamanic dance, Clemens Friedrich slowing down all senses at once and JEANS, boss of Oracle Bones, speeding us up in the hyperloop.
Finally, as teamwork means a lot, we have given the pleasure to open this compilation to the four-headed Lausanne/Freiberg hydra 4POTR and their cryptic transdimensional message, and the honor of closing this pool party to the 404 trio gem from Candoblé with a fine piece of wonder.

Not exactly your usual summer compilation, nor the hits you could imagine, but surely the music you'll need under the hot sun of 2020.
