Trying to explore the world of field recording I found myself kicking and stomping a metal staircase. I was inspired by the result and decided to build a track with it. All the sounds are heavily modified with the help of weird delays, feedback and distortions. The rest of the sounds are all synthetic but sampled and shaped in a similar fashion.  

The process enlightened me. Caught by something that seemed  impossible to achieve at first. It moves. Finally I understood. Thoughts and emotions seem to meet here. Honest and focused sublimation. 

Life is boring without darkness. Experimenting like this project showed me new possibilities, emotions, thoughts etc. I need the compensation. There is so much to discover but the unknown is always a dark place.

Unfortunately most people are afraid so they stay in the light. Frozen to death. Here the light shines upon us with the same shit and shoves down our throat. Tricking us thinking we are being fed. Poison. I'm afraid of the light because I cannot control it. It's the distraction of the known. The cycle feeds us with bullshit and then we crap out the same shit. The unknown should not become an illusion to me. 

Whenever I'm enlightened in a process like this, I embrace it but slowly let it go. Trying to go beyond by stepping back into the cave. Again. Here is where I meet my inner darkness of frustration and fear. Alone but in touch with myself. Confronting it by experimentation but eventually broadening my spectrum.

Known for a more punk styled dancefloor Techno, Raphael is now back in the studio with a new perspective and we are more than happy to have him for 46th release where he presents to us his mindful and very emotional works. 4 tracks that appear here are nothing short of timetravel machine which takes us to distant past when gods ruled. Filled with endless sounds of battlefield sword fights and rich sounding synthesis, this masterpiece shows what Raphael is capable of. Distinct sounding works that breathe high quality, with massive percussions, punchy kickdrums and crisp production will mesmerise anyone who comes in contact with them. But we will let you decide...
