Every year Sabo’s label @Solselectas drops its highly anticipated Summer Sol compilation and our personal favorite is one of those feel good tunes for this summer by the wicked Swiss Duo @Okuma-sounds. 

It hits stores on the 19th of June which is the day of the summer solstice, as the EP’s concept is a celebration of world culture, as regardless of skin colour, gender or social background, Sol Selectas motto, is that we are all equal under the light on the sun.

This year’s compilation features music from over twenty different countries and lyrics in many different languages produced by a variety of wonderful talented artists. 

Covering a range of tempos, the tracks vary in style from melodic deep house to meditative electronica, all with rich percussive textures and enchanting melodies.

«Ja ja, wir gehen ja schon», grummeln wir. Im selben Moment kommt eine Bimmelbahn mit quietschenden Reifen vor uns zum Stehen. «Taxi?», ruft Lokführer Lui Mafuta uns entgegen.
«Joa ok.». Wir steigen ein. Schön.
Lui drückt aufs Gas und dann auf play, damit wir den Ausblick mit bummeliger Bimmelbahnmusik genießen können. Bei 108 bpm bimmelbummelt es sich in der Tat ausgesprochen angenehm.
«Wo soll denn die Reise hingehen?», fragt er uns durchs Mikrofon.

Our next release is an EP from Janis Blume, who has already been part on one of our compilations. The artist from Leipzig has been on our radar since his first live set 3 years ago and we are happy to present you an EP with him. In addition, remixes are coming by Zuma Dionys from Russia and French born Lopal who appear on down for the first time. The result are 4 tracks which all transfer a different mood of downtempo music. We are super happy with the outcome of this release and are in love with the tracks. A big thank you goes out to all the artists involved, as well as Kilian van de Water for the great Artwork again. We hope you enjoy this one as much as we do. Stay tuned for more to come.

“Chasing Rabbits” on Keller is Oilst & Ben Jarli's debut EP. They have developed an eclectic style of downtempo, blending inspiration from a broad spectrum of genres. The three original tracks featured on this EP share a distinctive analogue sound design, and a dark, yet warm timbre.

The EP also includes two remixes of the title track. The first is an epic contribution from the up-and-coming live act O/Y, where the original’s signature acid bassline evolves into immersive ambient soundscapes. The second is a serotonin fuelled festival anthem by Molto, a promising offspring of the Keller stable.
