Dutch music producer and DJ. Zipping from extreme idm, darktrance and braindance, to unique ambient and field recorded soundscapes at breakneck speed. Rough yet emotional. Dark but sensitive.

With a history in death-metal, punk but also jazz and funk bands. Electronic music took over around 2006. Realizing a first release on Moon Koradji Records in 2008, Whrikk has been releasing on a multitude of labels around the globe. Such as also the renowned label Sanaton Records from Sweden, Parvati Records from Denmark and Real Vision Records in Germany.   As well as some special homemade releases of his own.

Atmospherica Exotica presents PETER SCHMID, who describes this set as: "No concept. Good music, pleasant thoughts, 60 minutes of traveling around my record bag with me." Born in 1982 and currently living in Budapest, electronic music plays an important part of his life since 2002. As a member of ElectroCat artist group he regularly mixes his favourite vinyl records for Tilos Radio‘s night show and often appears at underground parties in Budapest. He is keen on taking side adventures in rominimal and progressive sounds, however techno is the core music genre of his sets, in which industrial and deep hypnotic sounds are combined to create a unique atmosphere.

This is a special studio mix from one of the leading Mystic Sound Records artists, CHRONOS, and is dedicated to the 60th anniversary of Cosmonautics. Chronos is one of the leading Russian chillout/ambient projects and a resident of Mystic Sound Records. Since 2001 the project has provided lots of sacral & esoterical ideas through audio-visual performances, music & people connected in one source of vision & the slogan: “Music for awakening consciousness”. The way of Chronos goes between ambient/ethnic influences and chillout/trip-trance vibrations. The man behind the project is Nick Klimenko, a Moscow based musician, sound producer, sound designer, live performer & a teacher.

Künstler Bio:

Geboren in Villach (Österreich), fand DJ SPIKE in den 90er-Jahren durch die legendäre Loveparade seine Liebe zum Techno. Die rohe Energie, die hypnotischen Beats – seitdem lässt ihn der Sound nicht mehr los.

Nach Stationen in der Gastronomie und beim Militär kam die Leidenschaft für elektronische Musik über die Jahre immer stärker zum Vorschein. Unterstützt von seinem Partner und ausgestattet mit solidem DJ-Equipment – darunter Plattenspieler, ein 4-Kanal-Mixer sowie ein CDJ/DJM-Setup von Pioneer – startete er seinen Weg hinter die Decks.

Auch wenn er noch nicht auf großen Bühnen stand, merkt man sofort: DJ SPIKE bringt das Gespür und den Willen mit, sich als DJ zu entwickeln. Derzeit verfeinert er seinen Stil zu Hause, um schon bald den nächsten Schritt zu gehen – mit ehrlicher Motivation, viel Leidenschaft und einer Community, die ihm den Rücken stärkt.
