I can only describe this as a vocal massage. My wife could not believe that no instruments were used in this piece and had to immediately listen to it a second time.

What makes my heart stop is reading the liner notes for the CD and discovering that it was recorded live!

"Wang Tang" ist einer der ersten Stücke die ich für dieses Projekt geschrieben habe.Ursprünglich für klassische Gitarre und Obertongesang konzipiert, gewinnt dieses Stück durch den Einsatz des Didjeribones eine völlig neue Ebene. Das Didjeribone ist ein Didgeridoo welches dem Spieler ermöglicht durch variieren der Rohrlänge verschiedene Töne zu spielen. Marc Miethe ergänzt mit diesem Instrument gekonnt das Klangbild von Obertongesang und Gitarre.

„Wang Tang“ is one of the first pieces I have ever written for this project. Originally written for classical guitar and overtone singing the music gains a whole new level by adding the didjeribone. The didjeribone is a didgeridoo that allows the player to play different notes by changing the length of the tube. Marc Miethe enriches the sound of overtone vocals and guitar masterly with the use of this instrument.
