Although I have had the extreme good fortune to play Electric Forest in every year of its existence, I have rarely played anywhere but Silent Disco. In 2015 I got an invite to come over to the next stage over, Ian Xavier's gorgeous frontier fort of a stage experience known as THE GRAND ARTIQUE. Since an invite to play on a live stage at Forest wasn't something I take for granted I spent weeks devising the perfect set to fit the rustic, farmhouse decor and technobilly vibe of the staff.

With blues, bluegrass, rock & country rolled up into breaks, disco & midtempo, I think you will find this set of Organic Beats to be a tasty treat,

For those not familiar with the Tempest, he is a french DJ and producer based in Nantes, member of LOT49 and manager of his own label CClone Records.

Finding freedom in music he was lulled by rock and roll & blues as a young 'un progressing to techno sounds in the nineties where he found his real passion - djng at clubs and free parties.

Guess what came next .... he began to make is own beats! After various projects and aliases, Beat Tempest was born with his breakbeat, techno, techfunk sounds that we all know and love.

In 2013 he created his own label - CClone and by 2014 he was signed to the mighty LOT49.

And so ladies and gentlemen - we introduce to you his advent track - Santa Claus Breaker. A gritty breakbeat banger with balls!! Very heavy indeed...

It’s been another action packed year for, Phil Wrighton aka WheresNorth?. He has delighted festival crowds dj-ing throughout the summer and he’s also been bringing some of the best underground talent to his always bouncing ‘DuskTilDawn‘ nights in, Sheffield. Stanton Warriors, Mooqee, Mafia Kiss, Deekline and Utah Saints are just a few to visit the ‘Steel City’ this last year and the party continues up north as ‘DuskTilDawn’ celebrates it’s third birthday on 30th January with a jaw dropper of a lineup. Skapes, Dub Pistols (dj set) and Phil Hartnoll/ Orbital (dj set) are all on the bill and if this excites you get all the info HERE.

As well as dj-ing and scouting for top quality artists, Phil, can always be found producing some cracking work of his own and his brand new track ‘Reverse’ is our second exclusive in our Advent Calendar giveaway! ‘Reverse’ is all abut the old skool vibes. It's been another busy year for, Miss Monument. Whilst packing in gigs and festival sets she has also kept the flow of top draw dj's going at her night 'Broken' which is held in London. As well as that, Miss Monument, has found time to start up her own business and take to the studio to start on her own production work under the guise of, Monumentus (more on that shortly). If that wasn't enough, we've landed this exclusive mix from, Miss Monument, which she has kindly put together for us for day 14 of our advent giveaway. If you've caught any of her mixes that we've posted this year you'll soon notice that this one is a step away from her familiar Breaks orientated sound. 'Pound It' is a mix that does just that and dishes out a high level of quality Techno. The Beat-Pimp has provided us all with a bevvy of filthy bass-driven mixes in his ongoing Pimpology series with Funky Breaks, Glitch Hop and Drum n Bass being fired out in all directions. With his latest mix for us though, he has reigned in the ever-present onslaught of bass to provide us with 90-minutes of good vibes and cool grooves in his New Funk mix. A good dose of Funk, a bit of Disco and a tiny smidge of filth means that if garden party plans are being hatched, this will be the perfect mix to entertain anyone that might be popping along.
