About the CD:
So another Mixmag Live! cd here, but there was a massive gap of anything rave related in the series so it's time to fix that. With non other than the first ever Mixmag cd... 01 (funnily enough). It rolls through Cox's mix of hardcore, or what I'd simply call early rave music via the epic "Atomic Matter" and "I want you forever". Dave Seaman's mix continues the 90's warehouse flavour with a pitched down selection. "Brass Disc" is a stand out along side "I'm Coming Hardcore" and "You Keep The Love". All in all... a ravetastic CD!

Originally broadcast on 30 October 1993, the Essential Mix features contemporary DJs and music producers of electronic dance music. The show has been presented since its inception by Pete Tong and features an uninterrupted two-hour mix from a different artist each week, overlaid with occasional continuity announcements delivered by Tong.
