Having spent years clubbing at some of the best parties round the world in 2002 I made the decision to move to the other side of the DJ booth and take my love of music a step further than just listening & dancing to it.

My current setup is using my Technics 1210 Mk2's with my Rane MP2015 mixer & Ableton Push 2 with Serato DJ Pro.

Production wise I use my MPC Live, Roland TR8 & Ableton Live.

Had my first release on Sin Factory Records & have had releases on Crossworld Vintage, About House Records, 5G Records & Point Blank. I would like to thank them all for releasing my work

Leftfield have been at the cutting edge of dance music since the 1990s, releasing albums that have become some of the most influential electronic records of all time around the world with their debut LP Leftism being widely regarded as one of the most boundary-pushing electronic LPs ever released.

Originally comprised of Neil Barnes and Paul Daley, in 2010 Barnes reignited the Leftfield name, and went on to release an acclaimed new album (Alternative Light Source) touring the world with the full live band, with a string of sold out shows.

Neil has also been cementing his reputation as a top-tier DJ and record collector unleashing modern dance floor weapons, selling out clubs / venues, headlining festivals and creating some amazing nights with his sets. Leftfield is a name synonymous with quality and Leftfield DJ Sets are exactly that, allowing Neil the chance to show the depth of his musical knowledge and select the best tracks to take you on a journey.

Born in Liverpool then moved to Southport in my twenties.  Music, of all genres, has played a very important role in my life but it was hearing, for the first time, the 12 inch version of Donna Summer's 'I feel love'  that caused the House/Dance music epiphany.
This was soon followed by more mind blowing discoveries within Techno and Acid House.
All of which brought peace, love, unity and more and more great music.

Hey, Gareth here, I'm a graphic designer who start designing for clubs, parties, and labels in the late 90s. Back then, mix CDs were the holy grail of both design and music. I loved them.

But I wasn't the only one, mix cds were the soundtracks of our nights, our days, our afterparties and lives, for everyone. Yet in today's internet age, the art form has been lost (or just changed) to 2-3 hour online mixes and streaming videos, which just don't create the same magic your CD collection did. Just 60 minutes of music and incredible artwork.

The Classic Mix CD Series celebrates these discs, their soundtrack, their box art and your memories. We hope you enjoy it.

Digital creative type, gamer, music lover and occasional DJ. Currently living between Dubai & Seoul after setting sail from Sunderland in 2010. As a young designer, club and music culture was the driving force for his work, producing artwork for local club nights and record labels in the North East of England. DJ Soulseo began to listen to music as a child, listening to bands such as The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Deep Purple, Genesis, Pink Floyd,  all great artists from the 70s & 80s.

At the age of 16, he bought his first electric guitar and started playing with a group in his home city. In parallel to his love for Rock music, he also often went out to Discos, appreciating the great artists of that movement such as Chic, EW & F, Change, but he particularly loved 'that Funky music.
Two years later, Soulseo gathered some musical experience in a local radio station and at the discos. During the 80s, he lived for 10 years in Zurich and was able to follow closely the birth of the Techno movement. 
Then one day, about 15 years ago, he  bought his first modern mixer with 2 CDJs and started mixing - never stopped.

All uploads are lossless/uncompressed wav files (16 bit 44.1 Khz) ripped directly from the original cd's.
All CD's are from my own personal collection, so some might have some audio artifacts from worn cd's etc. If you do encounter a file with glitches/audio interruptions - please let me know as I don't listen to all the tracks from start to finish.
