At its heart, 'Behind Us The Land' is more than just the 80-year story of one German family. Unsere Mission: Dieses Projekt widmet sich einer zutiefst menschlichen, wahren Geschichte, um zwei Dinge zu erreichen:

Zeugnis ablegen: Zu zeigen, was Krieg mit normalen Menschen macht und wie seine Narben über Generationen nachhallen.

Mut machen: Jeden zu stärken und zu inspirieren, der Verlust erlitten oder schwere Zeiten durchlebt hat.

Das ist Musik als Vermächtnis. Eine Geschichte, die sich täglich wiederholt.

I will soon be without distribution and  have only rarities left on Soundcloud. I'm transitioning to be a Bandcamp exclusive artist for my next album (if I choose to release it).
Previously distributed Sönderrevet albums will be available on Bandcamp only, where you can actually support artists and not murder drones etc. 

Indie rock, post-punk. Backed by high energy strums, synth leads and earworm guitar hooks.

Debut "Songs That Wouldn't Die" was released in October 2021 and created during the pandemic lockdown in Oslo.

Sophomore album "Chapters Missing" was released on the 5th of January, 2024.

All songs are written, recorded, mixed & mastered by Jan aka Sönderrevet.

This is Berny - German and a long time musician since 1974. With 14 years old he "enjoyed" a 2 year classical piano training. His father was a professional Symphony Orchestra musician playing the viola - Since 2003 Berny is living in Ireland, used to live 10 years in Berlin. He has been in many bands before and had a lot great live gigs beginning 1980.  Z CAR M's name exists than 1980.

Since a few years I he has done some collaborations with other musicians. Today I he only is doing home recordings and productions and publishing his  songs via CDBaby. He published 11 Z CAR M 10 albums so far and wrote more than 300 songs. His music genre is Indie (Brit.), 80th, Rock, Pop, Electro, Alternative, Experimentals, Easy listening and instrumentals. 

He also produced a lot of music video clips to be seen on his YouTube under the account "zcarm" or "Z CAR M".
