Ajna is the enigmatic project of Chris F from New York and has been active since 2008. This project is mainly inspired by the supernatural, surrealism, esotericism, the collective unconscious, nature and antiquity. Ajna's sound has often been described as hauntingly beautiful, otherworldly, mysterious, nightmarish, etc…ranging from obscure dark ambient soundscapes to deep isolationist drone with electro-acoustic and industrial elements. The artist is currently affiliated with the Cyclic Law and Winter-Light labels.

Rayspark Industries has been producing music for over 25 years. The hardware years 1994-2002 and the software years 2010-now. Currently his studio consists of Ableton Live Suite with sounds and sequences sourced from various iOS apps, software synths and utilising Native Instruments' Reaktor 6 ensembles and instruments. It is this approach that has opened up a whole new era in sound design and compostional approaches and gives the freedom to experiment like never before. As organised sound, he uses music as a platform for his explorations of new sounds he has found or created, many unheard and many certainly unused in the context of composition. It is this thirst for auditory discovery that keeps his sound fresh and ever-changing and is the well-spring of his creativity. Extended bio:
Rayspark Industries started his adventures in sound, learning various instruments in a music workshop in early 1980's. 

After pushing various CasioTone keyboards to their limits in the late 80's he started to compose his first sample-based tracks using the Amiga software, Octamed. His limited yet highly effective arsenal of these early forays were a Roland Alpha Juno 2 and an 8bit sampler. 

As technological advances during the 90s opened up whole new areas of creativity and experimentation future tracks were composed using the Korg MS20, 05R/W, Poly800, Yamaha CS5, TX81z, various analogs, effects and an Amiga A1200 running MicroIllusion's Music X. The track "Shuffle" (under the name "RSI"), featured on the accompanying CD of"Future Music" magazine, Issue 58, July 1997 displaying his heavy bias towards analogue and analogue-esque sound sources. By this time he was now composing on the PC using Cubase VST, early indications of the future evolution of his approach to composition. 

Rayspark Industries have now completely updated (and downsized) his studio which consists of Native Instruments' Reaktor and various other plugins run through Ableton Live Suite. Rayspark Industries believes this approach has opened up a whole new era in his sound designing and compostional approaches and gives him the freedom to experiment like never before. As organised sound, he uses music as a platform for his explorations of new sounds he has found or created, many unheard and many certainly unused in the context of composition. The early sounds of Jean Michele Jarre, OMD and the Human League and also the more current sounds of Plaid, Autechre, Orbital and LFO to just name a few...

TakeOut Music -Electronic Sound Designs to Take You Out, best listened to with good headphones or earbuds.

TakeOut Music is the result of 35 years of experimenting with sound (including lots of listening ;) ). It started in San Francisco in the 70s, including recording loads of electronic music, playing live with a notorious punk band (really miss the Octave Cat/RE-201/Flanger combo), and being a member of several experimental electronic bands. During a period of "musicus interruptus", I completed an EE degree and got a day job in Silicon Valley for 20 years and my energies went to product designs and the music creations stopped.

In a state of burnout in 2002, I filled my basement with classic analog gear and got back to what I love and probably increased my lifespan significantly. I would build live songs by programing each synth/device, running them all through a huge mixing console, and then recording onto a DAT drive (still have 17 120-DAT tapes to go through to hear all the music made in this period). In a quest for a peaceful environment, left the large house in the Boulder suburbs to live in the amazing Rocky Mountains. My huge collection of vintage analog gear had to be scaled down, and that made a lot of EBayers very happy.

This new collection of music here on SoundCloud is a result of the redesigned studio using computer-based software tools. I didn't totally lose my mind, my beloved Korg Radias, DSI Pro 2, Wavestation EX, Moog Sub 37, Korg MS-20 mini, Eventide H9 Max, TC Electronics M-350, Arturia Beatstep Pro, Arturia Microbrute, Arturia Keystep, Arturia Drumbrute, Yamaha MX49, Korg Minilogue, Roland SH-201, Roland System-1m, Novation MiniNova, and Alesis SR18 populate my new space as well as all the MANY virtuals and emulations, etc. TakeOut Music is a concept I had in the 1970s, for "Music To Take You Out'. It relates to various states of consciousness, energy, vibration, and frequency. I mainly define the categories as: Atmospherics, Holding Patterns, and Motions.

My wish is that these synthetic sound designs bring enjoyment to others!! This is the first time I've felt compelled to share these with others and hope they are taken with the love in which they were created.

the PERSON, the SOUND : Since 1985, Philadelphia-born Michael has composed and released hundreds of audio recordings, and published dozens of [erotic] poems.

His 'sonic-sojourn' began suddenly when he was just a teen -- feet splashing rhythmically through puddles leftover by a seaside rainstorm. Having just parted ways with the then-love-of-his-life, Michael composed his first ballad [and first song] ever -- "Tina." He rushed to his beach-side home to record his visceral 'awakening' on a tiny micro-cassette recorder, and vowed -- from that day on -- to create art for the rest of his life.

He began zealously amassing used music equipment, and had built a modest home recording studio by age seventeen, all the while crafting simple pop, ambient, and experimental works that HE had wanted to listen to -- that HE had wanted to hear, affectionately emulating the works of his then-idols, Duran Duran and Brian Eno.

Now, decades later, he has relocated to a small village outside Atlanta, Georgia, and continues to voraciously attend to his dream as a young, heartbroken boy -- to create and release music that he, himself, wants to hear.

Although no longer sequestered to pop and ambient musics, Michael's signature sound has merged the two, having integrated the R&B, hiphop, and psychedelia he has grown to love as a older gent -- having absorbed the edgy rhythms and dreamy soul of the southern United States (Atlanta and Miami).

Michael still puts forth ample amounts af ambient musics, but his recent 'sound' hovers elsewhere -- somewhere amidst the genres of vaportrap, spacerock, and trip-hop.

The modular synthesizer is a type of synthesizer consisting of separate specialized modules connected by wires (patch cords) to create a so-called patch. Every output generates a signal – an electric voltage of variable strength. Combining the signals generated by multiple modules into a common audio output allows a potentially infinite number of configurations, leading to a potentially infinite number of sounds.
