Mau Kilauea - Wear Sunscreen

Even though the 'Arkajo'-moniker might be pretty new Nils Krogh has already gained worldwide attention as one half of 'Genius of Time' (other half being Alexander Berg AKA 'Dorisburg') whose resumé we will leave out of this for obvious reasons. Arkajo accounts for the next release, entitled 'Altavista' on notorious Swedish house output 'Aniara Recordings' - which really is a state of the art release that promises a lot for 2015. It doesn't seem to matter if he makes the music together with Alexander or by himself - it's equally fantastic anyhow. Regarding the mix - that consists of mostly vinyl gems, some edits and an unreleased Arkajo  track - he says that "It starts out with subaquatic sounds and eases in to grooves for the dance floor." Word. Thanks for that.

Discobelle Mix 095: BARBUTO

Deep&Disco is back with a remix package by singer Adeline Michèle, the Parisian-born front lady of the band Escort,with remixes by Kraak & Smaak, DJ Vas, JKriv and Dino Soccio.

Co-written and produced by JKriv, the original is a modern take on 80's mid-tempo R&B, think Chaka Khan meets Holy Ghost! Blending a deep bass line with shimmering synth textures, the infectious hook really shines a light on Adeline's formidable vocals. Kraak & Smaak rework the tune into a chilled-out new boogie affair, while DJ Vas and JKriv take things into deeper and darker territory with their mixes. Dino Soccio rounds out the package with sultry and warm west coast flavor.

Adeline Michèle has been leading disco band Escort since the release of their first eponymous album in 2011. With a new Escort record slated for an end of October release, and other lead up singles gaining serious attention in Rolling Stone, Pitchfork, and the NY Times magazine, Adeline is set to make some serious waves in 2015 and beyond.

“Redo:Remixed” will be available exclusively on Beatport on October 12th, then iTunes, Spotify and everywhere else by early November.

Floorplan has remixed 'Black Hole' and boy is it big. The rolling pianos, blistering pace and beautiful harmonies are enough to send anyone to the clouds. An amazing edit by one of the best in the game, and we've got the premiere. Hold tight.

I had a dream that Birmingham's one and only Low Steppa and dark bass trendsetter Taiki Nulight teamed up to collaborate on some music, it was glorious. When I woke up I thought, "This could never happen." As I checked my email that day there was not one but two songs by the innovative British producers. It's a Night Bass miracle! The two songs are a perfect union of both producers' styles. "Nu Jam" is a dark and bouncy roller with a big fat sub guiding the way, while "Nose Powder" takes us to a fist pump level of energy around a minimal but undeniably banging bassline. The title cut flips a classic Brooklyn funk sample into a deep house burner, Last Night really gives it to us (baby), and Estrelar showcases the groovy disco side of the 'Two. Rounding out the EP is a Daniel Leseman remix that reworks the title track into a completely fresh production, bringing the deep dance floor heat for which the FOUK member and Outplay Records co-boss is known.
