𝙑𝙎𝙇𝙆: How was your first DJ gig?
𝙊𝘾𝘿: My first DJ gig was an unforgettable experience. It was an after-party for a queer crew in Bologna, and I was incredibly nervous. My hands were shaking so much that I could barely turn the knobs on my controller (at that time I started playing with Traktor and a small controller). Despite my anxiety, I was surrounded by my closest friends, who provided unwavering support. There were around 20 people, but I had the feeling I was in front of many more. Looking back, I can't believe how much I've learned since then. It was a valuable learning experience, and I am eternally grateful for the opportunity to share my music for the first time.

𝙑𝙎𝙇𝙆: How has your style developed over the years?
𝙊𝘾𝘿: My musical journey has always gravitated towards darker, more aggressive sounds. I've always been captivated by extended breaks with nostalgic pads that evoke a sense of wonder and transport the listener to other dimensions.
When I first delved into techno, harsher sounds weren't as prevalent in the scene. However, by attending every techno party in Bologna, I was fortunate to experience a diverse range of styles and genres, which significantly influenced my own musical development.
Relocating to Berlin further expanded my horizons, exposing me to countless parties and inspiring encounters with a vast array of musical perspectives. This period provided countless opportunities for growth and exploration.
More recently, I've experienced a profound personal transformation that has shifted my focus towards deeper, more introspective music. While the intensity may have lessened, the music now resonates with a deeper emotional honesty, reflecting my own internal journey.

𝙑𝙎𝙇𝙆: What motivates you to keep going?
𝙊𝘾𝘿: Creative pursuits can be incredibly rewarding, but they also present unique challenges. The constant pressure of comparison, often amplified by social media, can be particularly daunting. It's easy to fall into the trap of presenting an idealized version of our lives, creating a disconnect between our inner reality and the curated image we project outward.
Personally, I've experienced these ups and downs firsthand. Periods of intense joy and productivity can abruptly shift into feelings of doubt and inadequacy. To navigate these challenges, I find solace in pursuing other passions. During chemotherapy, I discovered a newfound love for tattooing, finding a creative outlet that helped me cope. When inspiration falters, I turn to music, exercise, and immersing myself in new experiences. These diversions not only provide a much-needed mental break but also often spark fresh ideas and reignite my creative fire.

𝙑𝙎𝙇𝙆: Does Berlin still inspire you after so many years? How?
𝙊𝘾𝘿: Berlin continues to be a source of inspiration, even after all these years. It's a true melting pot of cultures, and I've had the privilege of encountering incredible people from all walks of life. My journey here has been transformative, challenging my perspectives and forcing me to confront my deepest fears.
I'm not sure I could have accomplished this anywhere, but this city has served as the foundation upon which my life has been constructed. 
For this, I will forever be grateful. However, I also feel a growing desire for a new chapter, a fresh adventure. Unfortunately, the current political climate in Germany has become increasingly unsettling for non-German residents like myself.

𝙑𝙎𝙇𝙆: What do you wish for this year?
𝙊𝘾𝘿:  For myself, I wish for good health and a world where humanity heals.

Hailing from Paris, Dario Brkic aka AIROD is perhaps one of the finest incarnations of what the French techno scene can bring to the table when it comes to turning any cold-walled warehouse into a proper coal-fired furnace. Since he broke through on an international level in 2018 with his debut solo 12" on Molekül, drawing instant support from the likes of Dasha Rush, Blawan, Randomer, Kobosil, to name but a few, AIROD's kept forging his own strain of techno, both dark and muscular, blustery and tirelessly corrosive. A shared bill with French techno ace Amelie Lens at REX Club would soon seal Dario’s fate, prompting Lens to get him on board her highly reputed Exhale parties across the Globe, of which he’s since become a mainstay.

Manni Dee’s techno smells something like burning rubber. Since 2013's ‘Pareidolia' EP, the London-based producer and DJ has been turning out breakneck warehouse fillers with an ear for the unsettled. He has become a repeat offender on Ali Wells fronted Perc Trax, and has seen his debut album released on the esteemed and immovable Tresor Records. Manni has also seen releases on imprints such as South London Analogue Material and Leyla, and flexed remix muscle for the likes of Daniel Avery, Louisahhh and The Horrors. As a DJ, he has performed acclaimed and dynamic sets at some of the world’s premier techno haunts, from London to L.A, Berlin to Bogota.
