EXCERPT 2 -"Je vis, je meurs, je brûle, je me noie"

Hi.

It’s Sans.

A lot of things have happened lately and I figured I’d write you a message, 
just to clear my thoughts for a minute.
My mind is rather distorted right now, I’ve found nothing but misery in life for as long as we’ve been stuck down here.

Every day was the same and almost all of the hope I had that things would change vanished a long time ago… but.
He was the only one who kept me going, the only real reason I wanted to keep living in this Prison we have called a Home for so long. But in the end it seemed like everything I wished would happen did end up happening… but not in the way I hoped for.

Today felt the same until that human came here.

I didn’t trust them, the silence around them was unnerving. 
But I couldn’t ever imagine what she would do to my bro.

I know exactly what happened.

You ran to the village when you heard the other Monsters cry for help.
You held him in your arms, made him feel safe.
Until he closed his eyes one last time.

I wish I could’ve arrived there sooner.

You saw me, I felt like my whole world was falling apart.
The feeling is disgusting. Knowing that the moment I walk back home he won't be waiting for me on our dining table drinking his coffee.
It makes me feel horrendous.


They’re most likely going to the capital.
I’m going to go find them, I refuse to let them continue on after what they did.

they’re already dead where they stand.

With UNDERTALE's 10th anniversary, also marks 10 years of lives changed, and 9 years since I fell in love with a story so much that my entire life has revolved around it. Toby Fox and Temmie Chang, along with several other folks have changed my life for the better.

UNDERTALE has meant so much more than just a story I like, or a game I replayed for hours. UNDERTALE meant to me that it was okay to be weird. UNDERTALE meant to me that it was okay to make mistakes. UNDERTALE meant to me that it was okay to ask for help. It helped me developing my young mind and helped me understand how I see the world today. It helped me understand the ins and outs of music, music theory, and eventually developing an original melody. It helped me cope with the struggles I had. It helped me embrace the cringe I used to be, so I could learn from it. This game was everything to me.

Toby Fox, Temmie Chang, or ANYONE on the Deltarune/UNDERTALE team, I understand that the likelihood that you end up reading this is slim to none. However, if by random chance you are, I want you to know you have my deepest and utmost emotional preference for your games, and your music, and your art, and your writing. But, lastly, I have for you the most love I could possibly feel for anyone, I cannot put it into words. 

And, to the Undertale community, and those that have listened to my music, have followed me, have liked my music, have commented, have even glanced at my music, I deeply thank you for paying any mind to my covers. I love each and every one of you to no end and it has made me so happy seeing that making covers isn't something that doesn't matter. It's something that I can leave a mark on this world with, and it has helped with a lot of my existential woes. I deeply thank all of you. I love you.

happy 10th anniversary to undertale.
what better way to celebrate it, than late and also with a megalo of all megalos?

with this cover, i tried to encompass megalos and styles from 2015-2025 and avoided making this an amalgam of purely megalo leads, since i thought that was quite boring. i would've included more motifs, but the song was already getting quite long with no further reason to extend it.

there is... a lot. so the original songs won't be credited. i'll just leave you guys to work it out yourselves and someone can dm me the full list of motifs + authors.

i also havent prepared a proper thumbnail so any artists you may reach out to me as well
