For the second volume of lazed, a mix series thought as a playground for listening music, we're happy to introduce Italian DJ and visual artist Aka Hyoo. Next to Djing in a club setting, the Decadance collective co-owner has always been keen of experimental listening music scenarios. Through his selections, he guides the listener into a blend of cinematic sounds, creating vivid and otherworldly sonic experiences. 

Aka Hyoo: "The introspective silence of John Cage's "4'33''" and Plastic Ono Band's "give peace a chance" samples, set the floor to this melancholic cinematic odyssey, inspired by Jim Jarmusch's Champagne chapter from "Coffee and Cigarettes.” Contrasting emotions intertwine, mixing popular and upbeat sounds with darker, somber moods through sporadic vocals, endless loops, and noisy glitches. It is a personal reflection on the world, crafted to evoke a sense of distance and contemplation."

Incredibly personal fusion of the respective personas that are Versogiu and Sacre. Each of them throwing unexpected sonic references at the other, most often provoking a strong emotional response in both bodies. The set was made in extreme tiredness but with extreme love, it mixes bass, abstract and nostalgically tortured works with broken loopy stuff. It’s special, it’s their ride.

Shelly, also known as s2k2ky , Jojo or, in his early days, DJ iTunes 10.2, is the electronic project of music producer and sound engineer Joan Canyelles, founding member of Abundance, a platform and collective of Barcelona DJs and producers who collaborate closely with multidisciplinary artists and other collectives in the city. Alumni of the Red Bull Music Academy Berlin in 2018, half of the new trance/rave duo TOP74, resident of dublab.es, collaborator of the creative studio Hamill Industries and the cultural association El Pumarejo family, his sound is inspired by the UK bass genres mixed with leftfield techno.
