This tune is a reminder and a plea. Our current economic climate doesn't make it easy for all to step outside and breathe, take notice of the small things and reliece the pressures that exist in our individual worlds. How wild swimming and standing by trees can regulate our vagus nerve, grounding us in our nervous system allowing us to connect with each other, relax. So it's a reminder, that even if accesss is hard, and housing is hard, and everything is hard, get a bit of fresh air, fresh water, when you can, find a plant, even in the most concrete of landscapes there is always a bit of life.

Part of the lyrics translates as -
The color of the world is twilight, and is getting darker. In an age where it is easier to imagine dystopia than a hopeful future this song really touched on some of what I was feeling whilst writing 'staring at the grain'.

On 'I wish I had a dog', Aderyn sets her sights (and tongue-in-cheek lyrics) on the state of her generation. In a punchy 2 and a half minutes, Aderyn lambasts landlords and music scene rich kids, with a breathy insouciant vocal in the verses that explodes into a singalong chorus. 'I wish I had a dog' is a song that would sound at home on any 90s movie soundtrack, and yet uniquely encapsulates the disenfranchisement of the 2020s. Aderyn says of the song "I wrote this song about the surreal times we are living in. The lyric 'all the girls are selling pictures of their feet' really sums up the absurdity of my generation. It's probably more common for a girl in her twenties to have an OnlyFans than own a house. As an artist, I want to talk about that."

Saytr play are an indie-pop outfit known for their electric live shows, in iconic venues (gorilla, broadcast, ebgbs...) And the festival circuit (great escape, ynot, neighbourhood, 110above...) alike. 

Sharing influence with Circa Waves, the strokes, sundara karma and cage the elephant, and recieving playlisting from radio x, Spotify (New Music Friday, Hot New Bands, Indie List) Amazing Radio and bbc introducing, the band have racked up over a million streams on Spotify & a dedicated fanbase. 

Following their hiatus, Saytr Play came back this year with 'The Butterfly Stitches EP', amassing over 150,000 streams, Editorial support on Spotify's Fresh finds and New Music Friday, playlisting on XS Manchester and national radio coverage on Radio X. Off the back of this success, Saytr Play sold out their headline show at Manchester's Deaf Institute a month in advance. 

Saytr play release 'Brother' on 1st September and headline Manchester's Canvas on the 8th September.

Is a very nostalgic song for me. Most songs touch on the subject of love, the only difference here is that I wanted to write a song about how much I love my mates. I wanted to share some of the story’s and memories we lived through in our younger years. Growing up in Moston (Manchester). The good times. The bad times. It’s celebrating he family we choose, in our case our brothers. Life is never plain sailing but I like to think that is about who you are with not where you are. In this industry iv met a lot of privileged people but I honestly wouldn’t change our upbringing for the world. I’m proud of where I’m from & I love my mates so I wrote a song about it. Enjoy.

The single is an emotive ode to the festive period experienced in the absence of a loved one. Reflecting the cold realisation of facing Christmas alone.

Der Song ist ein Experiment an der Schnittstelle von menschlicher Emotion und künstlicher Intelligenz: Die Texte, tief verwurzelt in meiner eigenen Biografie und einem radikalen persönlichen Neustart, wurden mithilfe von KI-Technologie musikalisch zum Leben erweckt.

Ein Song für alle, die schon einmal am Boden lagen, vom System auf eine Nummer reduziert wurden und sich trotzdem entschieden haben, wieder aufzustehen. Authentisch, kraftvoll und ohne Blatt vor dem Mund – das Ergebnis einer synergetischen Zusammenarbeit zwischen Mensch und Maschine.
