This well-rounded package of originals and remixes delivers a vibrant blend of groove, drive, and a cheeky nod to the old school. Each track tells its own story - playful, bold, and full of character. You’ll definitely catch some vibes that take you back in time.

The two original tracks come in solid, powerful, and melodic:
"Back To My Roots" stands out with classic oldschool vocals, while "Illusions" - with its atmospheric flair - brings subtle flashbacks of Knight Rider.

On the remix front: Kapoor & fernn crank things up with a mid-tempo version that kicks an extra dose of energy - raw, rocky, and straight to the point. Full bounce mode activated.

Magician On Duty continues its tradition of unearthing refined sonic narratives with a captivating remix from French producer Emorine, who reimagines Bepo’s (@bepo_daune) “Shadow” into a lush, introspective deep house voyage.

Emorine’s (@emorine) remix delicately deconstructs the original and rebuilds it with cinematic restraint. The result is a slow-burning journey through emotive textures, submerged rhythms, and atmospheric swells. Grounded by a warm, rolling low-end and accented with subtle organic percussion, the remix simmers with tension and grace—designed not to overwhelm but to envelop.

Floating somewhere between dusk and dawn, this version of “Shadow” is equally suited for introspective home listening or the deeper corners of a sunrise set. Emorine weaves melancholic melodies into a spacey, hypnotic framework that pulls the listener inward with every bar.

Hard to believe how time flies – it's been exactly 6 years, 4 months, and 19 days since we released our very first compilation. Back then, everything was new and we had no idea where the journey would take us. Over the years, downtempo has evolved significantly and continuously reinvented itself.

Today, we're releasing our tenth and - for now - final compilation. From the beginning, it was important to us to provide a platform for new and emerging artists – and up until this tenth compilation, we’re proud to say that no artist appeared more than once. For this special occasion, we're breaking with that tradition and have invited several long-time companions to join us in shaping this moment.

A big thank you to all the artists for their contributions, and to all our listeners for your continued support. Special thanks also go to Kilian Van de Water, whose unique style has always played a key role in creating the overall identity of our label.

@LastGentlemanOnPlaya drops a mystical organic house release on his record label, @ItsGoodToBeATree, it features @Shamanic_Catharsis and includes remixes by @DrParnassus, @MiRET, and @Kermesse.

Known for his trippy style, which combines immersive atmosphere with tribal drums. Most of Last Gentleman On Playa's music has been released through his own record label, but he has also featured on other imprints, including Cosmic Awakenings.

On remix duty, Kermesse and Dr Parnassus have both previously featured on It's Good To Be A Tree, but MiRET is featuring on the imprint for the first time.

Kermesse in an Argentinian artist known for his mix of psychedelic vocals, quirky rhythms and majestic melodies. He has released music through record labels such as Kamai Music, The Magic Movement, and Lump Records.

Dr Parnassus is a shamanic producer from Bali, whose tracks are a concoction of shimmering synths and Middle-Eastern melodies sequenced into melodic grooves. He has featured on record labels ranging from Sol Selectas to Underyourskin Records.

Based in Spain, MiRET is making his first appearance on It's Good To Be A Tree, following regular releases on his own imprint [MuMa]. He has also featured his chugging downtempo style on respected outlets such as Bar 25, 3000 Grad, and Sounds of Sirin.
