“I first encountered Toru upon exiting a Tokyo DJ both one evening. He was waiting patiently to pass me a CD of his work along with a polite, hand-written note.
The tracks had a uniqueness and an appealing futuristic feel, and thus a few of them became regular fixtures in my DJ sets” ~ Ø [Phase]

It was through this humble approach and initial exposure that Japanese native Toru Katsuta came also to the attention of Charlie M Duff (AKA Matrixxman) and his music gained further broadcasting (featuring in various podcasts and DJ performances). This eventually lead to an invitation in 2021 to remix for the fast-rising Alarico on Matrixxman’s The Grid label.

In 2022 Katsuta's futuristic sound debuted on Ø [Phase]’s Modwerks label with the 6 track ‘Phenomena’ EP (garnering more support from the likes of Luke Slater and Dave Clarke). He’s now set to follow that up with the complimentary ‘Interconnecta’ EP - Due out on Modwerks on June 23rd and featuring 2 mixes from Ø [Phase].

Tirelessly pushing the boundaries of techno as we know it, the British don has been carving out his name in gold letters amongst the pantheon of DJs capable to evolve and transcend both themselves and their audience through the cathartic power of music. Hailing from Tel Aviv & Recently Relocated to Belgium, Yogg (Yuval Goren) was born in the 90’ and delved into the city’s vibrant clubbing scene at an early age. Trained as a Jazz musician & Keep on exploring different musical territories and boundaries. His soundscapes are characterized by a unique sound design, impact cuts of body-slamming techno with deep synths and sleek rhythms.

Yogg has made a name for himself over the years, committing to exciting sound explorations, in-depth projects, releases & remixes. He released on various labels such as Non Series, Illegal Alien, 30D Records, Counterchange, Gradient, Tales Collective, and others. His DJ sets, energetic, mind-bending, and wrapped in multilayered textures of ambient were described as ‘sounds that turn your mind inside out with its long and hypotonic grooves’ and earned him a spot in prestigious clubs around the world such as Berghain, Tresor, Concrete, Village Underground, Contact and several more.

Yogg was a resident & curator at The Block Club for several years and a resident DJ at Homopatik & AVADON. Since 2014, his label Parallax has been showcasing cutting-edge voices of Local and global contemporary techno.
