"A fine work dispensed by Visionnaire & Cupo Mediterraneo - Fools And Fires. It begins with intimate hesitation, imagine a hungry newborn vampire strolling down a filthy alley, so hungry so desperate to fill his inevitable need for blood, but sadly conflicted by it's morality, that hangs on a thread, because not so long ago the creature was mortal and still has compassion for that precious human life. The fight between these two opposing forces incites appalling tension. The atmosphere builds up pressure perfectly. And as we all know, given the right circumstances, we would rather break that moral compass, than let anyone or anything dictate or twist our own animalistic instincts. In this case, it is clear, that submission is released. I hope that this short tale sheds some light on depicting this strange and bloodcurdling track, which I believe to be a very intriguing and perfect example of a psychodelic purity. Flourishing among many other modulations, from almost synthetic ambient inclusion to alternative rock and techno synthesis. Throne of Blood continues the anniversary onslaught with the third of four EPs of new and exclusive jams from friends new and old. Following on from the first two Anniversary EPs which featured contributions from Joakim, Chloé, Justin Cudmore, Curses, Hardway Bros and more we deliver more dancefloor material from Pleasure Planet, Man Power, Danse Alice and Teleseen.

EP 3 kicks off with Sisters, all big rave energy owing a big debt to Pleasure Planet’s Kim Ann Foxman, Andrew Potter, and Brian Hersey’s memories of countless pilled-out 90’s era nights. In contrast, Danse Alice, a new project from dear friend and collaborator Remain (Meant Records) come with a slow motion groover, an emotional score for the comedown. Look for more music from this Marseilles-based duo coming soon on Lumiere Noire and Ombra Intl.

Rounding things out is an absolutely monstrous breakbeat banger from Newcastle’s Man Power, an homage to everything awesome about Chemical Brothers and the beautifully groovy “Sacambu” from our friend and long-time champion of the label, Teleseen. 

It's an EP of contrasts, another way to resist pigeonholing what Throne of Blood has stood for over the past sixteen years and a refusal to chase any single sound, scene or trend as we look to the future…

Desde Guatemala el sello Sonido Moderna nos trae un nuevo compilado, con varios productores de todo el globo; haciendo de este lanzamiento una rara perla para oídos selectos.
El post-futurismo del Guatemalteco Mike Rowave domina su nueva pista. Un track matizado por lasers levemente subyugados con elementos prototribales por los que se ha hecho conocido este productor. Se logra mantener al mismo tiempo un característico estilo a base de bajos “acidizados” y procesos en sus ritmos base. Un reflejo de la vida diaria de este gadget boy y hacker gris.

Fringe Society makes an accomplished return to Wrong Era with his otherworldly album ‘The Art World’. We are invited into his delicately sculpted soundscape through abundantly transcendent tracks. 

With a rich, analogue welcome from ‘Mondo Dell’Arte’, ghostly vocals filled with tantalising longing accompany this appropriate entry point for the LP. The tight arpeggios are a perfect anchor for the magnetic, alluring vocal lines. Beautifully phased synthesis on ‘Alexithymia’ cries out across the crisp instrumentation. Cascading, dystopian tones are delivered throughout, and artful harmonic dissonance can be heard in ‘Venom In Spurts’. 'The Art World' is brimming with this trademark approach to vivid imagery and powerful rhythmic pacing. 

Intelligent odes to EBM and Proto House hit you on ‘Enigma Body Music'. Fizzing vocals and vast sound design add to this album’s fluidity. You cannot help but be stunned by the exciting, energetic twists and turns throughout this LP. The percussive work is unparalleled and creates an unstoppable drive across all tracks. 

‘Arthur Ave Rules' presents itself as a menacing peak-time triumph. The slicing, metallic motif swells and evolves throughout. A perfectly placed rimshot adds grounding to this sweltering track. The last section of the record leaves you yearning for more of the cinematic brilliance of ‘The Bird Perspektive’ and the percussive, chiming floor filler ‘Frederike’s Summer’. 

This release transports you to one of Fringe Society’s mesmerising live sets and a dimly lit Mullholand overlook. ‘The Art World’ embodies his consistently slick approach to production and breathtaking sonic atmospheres. A true force to be reckoned with.
