When Byron The Aquarius talks about live frequencies, his enthusiasm is infectious. A keys player by trade, Byron’s love for melody and harmony has consistently drawn the attention of electronic music’s leading labels and producers.

In 2015, Byron released a ten track solo album on BBE entitled “Planets of Love.” When he wasn’t working on his own music, he was playing keys in the studio with Kai Alce. These creations got into the hands of Theo Parrish, who loved the sound of his sublime jazz-infected house and picked two tracks to release on his legendary Sound Signature label in 2016. The resulting “Highlife EP” has been hailed as “stunning”, “intoxicating” and “essential.”

Fast forward to 2022 and he's launching his own label, as explained...

“I made this mix to celebrate the launch of my new label Talknoi$e. I’m kicking off the first release with ‘Shroomz, Guns and Roses’, inspired by the time I spent in lockdown reconnecting with myself through nature.  It’s out now. Check it out in the mix..”

Jus' Mix is a new mix series focussing on jazzier DJs who are connected  with the Jus' Move events in Bristol. Huge thanks to Brussels based vocalist, musician, music producer and DJ Rosie From The Block aka @roselienmusic for creating our second mix.

Rosies mix begins with some lovely mellow vibes from Bobby Humphrey, Rare Silk and Gilberto Gil before smoothly transitioning into more broken climes with tracks by Cody Currie, Silhouette Brown, Don Pascal and Rosie herself. Towards the end of the mix we're even treated to couple of exclusives with unreleased remixes of Rosie From The Block by Sean McCabe and Trinidadian Deep.

Some words on Rosie...

Rosie From The Block is the new broken beat leaning project by Belgian multi instrumentalist and vocalist Roselien who's made killer contemporary soul tracks and performed alongside Gregory Porter, Meshell Ndegeocello and Anthony Jospeh. She's just released her second RFTB single 'Believe In It' for Phuture Shock. 

2023 looks to be a big year for her with remixes of her Phuture Shock EP in the pipeline as well as ongoing work with Sean McCabe, Wipe The Needle and a remix for Melbourne artist Don Glori.  Rosie is also in demand as a producer for other artists with a 4 track EP coming out later this year by Brussels based Mahina which was produced by Rosie. One to watch!

Paradise Loops is a groove infused mix series aimed to provide a backdrop of deep, balearic and nostalgic sounds on those sun-soaked glory days.

"So I recorded this mix fresh after a really good party in Manchester without reorganising my record bag or CD's (yes I do still use CD's). All the tracks you hear in the mix are things I've taken with me to recent gigs, so this mix is a pretty good representation of what a Loz Goddard DJ set sounds like right now. My productions and DJ sets are quite different, with the production side being much calmer on the whole. Hopefully the mix creates a nice contrast for people who might be familiar with the more chilled nature of my music." - @lozgoddard

Danny Berman aka Red Rack'em is described by Juno Records as 'one of the most respected figures in UK underground house circles'. Creator of classics 'Wonky Bassline Disco Banger' (hammered by DJ Harvey, Moodymann and even Elton John), 'In Love Again', 'How I Program', 'Kalimba', 'Tomato Pope', he's also a much loved broadcaster working with SWU.FM, Rinse FM, WWFM and NTS and guest spots on BBC Radio 1 for Pete Tong, Mistajam and Gilles Peterson. He's been even more busy during the pandemic supporting other artists with his 'How I Program' music producer community.

Since returning to the UK (after 8 years in Berlin), he's been releasing killer records like 'Wonky Techno Banger', 'Overthinking' and his Red Baron collab with Ron Basejam from Crazy P (huge support from Gerd Janson, Avalon Emerson and more), as well as undertaking huge tours of USA, India and Asia playing at clubs like Tag in Chengdu (Chinas Berghain), Rhonda in LA (one of the hottest pan sexual parties in the US) and Smart Bar in Chicago.

He's a super adaptable DJ, just as comfortable playing blazing disco boogie at Pickle Factory in London, deep house at TV Lounge in Detroit or raw swingy techno at Mothers Finest in Berlin.
