"I started this mix thinking it was going to be full tilt trance but after I looked at some of the songs I really wanted to include I noticed that many of could be considered trance inducing, but weren’t really trance. I decided to focus on trance-not-trance songs, intensely rhythmic and easy to lose yourself in, but missing the typical over the top euphoria or edge of more typical trance. I also wanted to include a bunch of early Japanese songs, there’s such a wealth of creative techno and trance adjacent songs from the early 90s that I’m still discovering. Hope you enjoy it!"

More emerging talent out of Montreal comes in the shape of fast-rising DJ & selector Lis Dalton. Having been intro'd to the Lobster family by Dust-e-1, Lis' solidly-blended sets and knack for a break-y earworm has led to her recording being hammered in the office.

Between key gigs on the Montreal circuit (supporting Yaeji and hitting highly-respectable festivals Piknic Electronik & Shaker Mountain) she's contributed mixes for Bake's Rinse FM show (alongside regular booth mate DJ Frog) as well as an other worldly Graphite Publications set.

This Lobster mix is a dream-world of percussive breaks and sizzling rhythms. Blended, baked and arranged to a T! Lis has rocketed up our list of ones to watch, let's hope she comes to Europe some time soon :)

Maybe good music to sit and ponder the order of the universe, or just take in that earth is a nice little home, or maybe just stare out your window and think about nothing in particular, kind of like your dog does when you're not home.
