Second single from jazz-maestro Gianni Brezzo upcoming LP "Tutto Passa" is "Capture This" - a warm splash of pure, groovy, jazz-funk. 

Instantly catchy, the track will have you imagining yourself in a movie that perfectly captures the musical themes: playful flutes, crisp, fluid guitar riffs, heat-pulling strings and brass movements, all held together by a strong, swingin' drum groove.

"Tutto Passa" is an album with a variety of moods, ranging from Arthur Verocai & Piero Umiliani inspired arrangements to lush, thematic jazz progressions with a percussive edge akin to works by David Axelrod, Stelvio Cipriani and Sven Wunder. It's a timeless release, one that sits just as well in 1972 as it does in 2022.

Marvin Horsch, the creative powerhouse behind the Cologne-based jazz project, remarks that the LP:

"...reflects exactly the feeling I had last year when I was in Italy with my own family. As a musician, I was looking for the challenge of a more orchestral approach on this album, which I hoped to achieve with my arsenal from the Cologne jazz scene and support of musicians from around the world."

Gianni Brezzo - Capture This

Within Without, the expansive string laden centre of Scrimshire's 2021 album Nothing Feels Like Everything, receives a beautiful rework from long-time friend and collaborator Emanative. 

Scrimshire and Emanative appeared in the London Jazz scene around the same time in 2008 and in fact in 2010 Scrimshire remixed song Illusions, from Nick Woodmansey's debut record. Now the prolific producer and writer returns the favour with a meditative and uplifting take.

The bonds on this rework are many and deep as both artists have worked extensively with Jessica Lauren over the years. In this remix, Nick brings more of his own collaborators along for the ride, with additional saxophone and vocals lifting this peaceful "optimistical" version.

Bokoya is a four-piece jazz/hip-hop band from Cologne who plays improvised beat music. Like a four-headed human drum machine, Bokoya improvise, shape, and develop beats in the electric field of repetition and variation. It's impossible to put a tag on Bokoya's music. BADBADNOTGOOD, Dilla, Krautrock, Ambient and dub might work as rough reference points for the music but don't do it justice. After a sling of releases on Wadada Records, Bokoya are now signed to Melting Pot Music where they will release their new album ‘Hausensession’ in October. The double single ‘Swampland / Cava’ is their second taster.

Upcoming South-African producer L E F with album 'Melodic Utopia', his first full project for Melting Pot Music. For the album he teamed up with Lofi heavy weight LESKY, upcoming Dutch producer Afroham, Greek producer Drips Zacheer, UK producer Jake Milliner and italien jazz beat maestro Koralle. 

The dreamy free-floating sound of ‘Melodic Utopia’ stays away from all Lofi stereotypes and puts his melodic productions known from his previous album ‘Antidote’, released in 2022, on another level.

A superb ally to nature anywhere it is found, it has unique nutritional value, oils and seeds available to all who cultivate it. It’s the reason they are found across the globe.

This is the ethos behind Ronin Arkestra. Formed in Tokyo in 2017, Ronin Arkestra brings together some of the finest and most creative players in Japan’s Jazz and and electronic scene. The collective includes members of Kyoto Jazz Sextet, WONK, Cro-Magnon, Root Soul, Sleepwalker, Sauce81, Kyoto Jazz Massive and, of course, band leader Mark de Clive Lowe. 

Kicking it all off is ‘Stranger Searching’, where lush electronics meet beautifully executed Jazz in full story mode. A constantly driving beat push this track along through its various chapters, with each member of the band given time tell their tale. Horns from Shinpei Ruike, Kohei Ando and Wataru Hamasaki tie everything together in beautiful harmony.
