@montyluke's ‘Nightdubbing (Part 2)’ lands on Rekids this February.

Kicking oﬀ Rekids’ January, Monty Luke’s ‘Nightdubbing (Part 1)’ won the support of Josh Wink, Laurent Garnier, Fred P and many more. Radio Slave’s esteemed label now readies itself for part two, starting with ‘Supernova’, a slow-burning groover shot through with whirly synths and deep space textures, broken up by retro vocal samples. ‘Starstorms’ continues to explore the deepest reaches of the unknown, picking up pace via shaker rhythms, driving bass, and raw foot-on-the-pedal pads.

Up next is Monty Luke’s ‘New World / Old Future’, in which scratch-like drums, dubbed-out hits and a rolling rhythm are all in perfect order before the psychedelic ‘Avantgarde Dancehall’ introduces wonky liquid sonics and intricate melodies over a steady beat. Closing this eclectic oﬀering, ‘Travelling ‘Round The Sun’ features drums rooted in dub alongside spoken word poetry, rounding oﬀ a release that is storytelling at its very best.

Monty Luke spent ten formative years in Detroit, where the city's unique musical spirit inﬂuenced him immensely. He has since distilled this experience into the music he has put out on labels like Rekids, Planet-E, Hypercolour, and his own Black Catalogue. His raw, dub-infused sound comes with plenty of futuristic designs, with this second part of ‘Nightdubbing’ continuing to push the boundaries of his music.

Melbourne’s William Kiss debuts on Rekids Special Projects with ‘Clap For Me’ EP.

William Kiss’ ‘Clap For Me’ EP on Rekids Special Projects opens with a tom-fuelled groove in its title track, a booty-shaking rhythm intermittently broken up by a repeating ‘Clap For Me’ vocal, setting the tone for a party-starting release. The UNCAGE, Club Bad and 23rd Century artist drops ‘Jacker’ next, harkening back to old-school drum machine funk and invoking pure dance ﬂoor mania through its hypnotism and retro vocal.

‘Werkin’' then sees William Kiss keep the pace through more vocal-driven sampling melded with punchy 909’s, before ‘Talkin’’ continues with full-on house euphoria designed to turn heads. The Melbourne producer then closes things out with ‘Cherry’, which, compared to the preceding tracks, goes down a more classic rolling techno route, showcasing the versatility of an artist who knows the dance through and through.

House of Rekids Mix 02 is here with the inimitable @manpower-1 at the controls. 

We have to agree with Resident Advisor who referred to Man Power’s musical leaning as ‘intergalactic house’. Whether he’s going full Balearic, disco or dropping pure house and techno, what he does is consistently spacey. When he’s not putting out music via his own Me Me Me, Permanent Vacation, Correspondant or ESP Institute, he’s putting on DIY parties in social clubs, writing symphonies for renowned cultural venues or paying it forward via numerous community-driven projects. 

Ahead of a Man Power project on Rekids (to be announced soon), we’re delighted to have him deliver a superb mix for the second House of Rekids Mix Show.

Matt Ryder, AKA Odee X, comes back to Radio Slave’s REK’D with the ‘Agent X’ EP 4th July 2025. It follows the London artist’s ‘X-Ray’ EP, which came out on the Rekids sibling earlier this year, and won support from Laurent Garnier, Honey Dijon, Sean Johnston, and many more.

First up on Odee X’s ‘Agent X’ EP is the title track, making a grand and classy entry via jazz-inflected melodies, while dub hits provide weight. Breaks slice through its mellow vibe, with the Reprise version stripping things back to lush atmospheres.

Next, ‘Promised Land’ rolls on with a tough kick underpinning soft harmonies and a deep vocal sample before ‘The Dreamer’ continues with more expert sampling, its rhythm and chords tumbling over one another and closing a versatile package for the REK’D label.

Formerly known as B.U.U.G, Odee X has released on labels like Street Tracks, Nightmayors, and REK’D. He has won club and festival plays from the likes of John Digweed and Josh Wink, with his takes on contemporary House, Techno, and Breakbeat also landing spins on BBC Radio 1 and BBC 6 Music.

Matt Edwards launched REK’D in October 2024 to release no-nonsense House music without the limitations of parent label Rekids. It has released dancefloor-ready EPs from artists such as St. David, DCLVIII OFC, James Juke, James Curd, and more.

Odee X - Agent X (Reprise)

German-Romanian duo Frankey & Sandrino come back to Rekids with the Please EP, landing 10th October 2025 alongside a remix from Echonomist. They follow their 2022 Brainscan EP on Radio Slave’s label, as well as a remix for Denney in 2023.

With an irresistible bassline, smooth melody, and a nostalgia-fuelled vocal, Please is the kind of track you hear as you walk into a busy tent at a festival—hands in the air, energy abundant. Frankey & Sandrino are masters at crafting emotional dancefloor bangers, going a little deeper on the progressive Genie, building up to busy stabs and mind-melting, futuristic sound design.

Completing the EP, the pair call in Greek DJ and producer Echonomist to remix Please. The Innervisions and Exit Strategy artist strips the original back, transforming it into a dark, hypnotic groover built for smoke-lit dance floors.

"The original had this beautiful Depeche Mode 80s vibe, but for the remix I wanted to take it into a different space, closer to the Detroit sound I love, a bit like Carl Craig’s approach. Something more hypnotic and club-focused, but still keeping the emotion of Frankey & Sandrino’s track." – Echonomist

Frankey & Sandrino are a German duo that has been shaping dance floors since 2009 with their distinct, trend-defying sound. With releases on Kompakt, Diynamic, and their own Sum Over Histories, and regular appearances at clubs like fabric and Stereo, they now return to Rekids with the Please EP.

Founded in 2006, Radio Slave’s Rekids has since launched the techno-focused Rekids Special Projects in 2017 and its latest sublabel, REK’D, in 2024. With Matt Edwards as the sole A&R, Rekids has been instrumental in developing emerging artists and remains a trusted home for house and adjacent sounds, recently featuring names such as Harry Romero, Tal Fussman, Spencer Parker, The Hacker, and more.

Berlin’s J Choirboy debuts on Rekids Special Projects with the ‘Mammoth’ EP, landing 17th October 2025. The title track taps into the sort of big, muscular club tools that defined Rekids label head Radio Slave’s early career, with fizzing chords hanging above booming kicks and a constant tension built to dominate dance floors. ‘Loam’ is just as heavy, this time with bright chords bouncing oﬀ gritty, rolling drums for full-body workouts in the club. ‘Stacco’ sinks into grainy territory with static-charged synths and a swinging kick, perfect for warm-ups or 5 a.m. hypnosis. Closing cut ‘The Miller’ layers liquid chords and perfectly syncopated drums into a vast wall of warm, enveloping Dub.

Rooted in choral traditions but driven by a love for Techno and early rave, J Choirboy channels both musical depth and raw energy into his productions. Now based in Berlin, he has previously released on La Mission, now returning with a strong debut for RSPX via the ‘Mammoth’ EP, which has already won support from the likes of DJ Rolando, Elisa Bee, and Truncate.
