It’s been a year and a half since we last saw La Fleur grace Watergate Records with a proper EP, having been featured on remix duties for Sasha’s ‘Trigonometry’ and her contribution ‘Femton’ to the celebrated 15 Years compilation.

So her brand new ‘Outbreaker’ EP arrives just in time to curb any impatience you might have waiting for her signature blend of house and techno aesthetics fused with modern production techniques that sets her apart from her peers.

La Fleur kicks things off with a wild heaving bass line and crisp, distinctive organic claps on ‘Devil Sigh’ setting the tone for the hypnotic groove that soon turns into a high energy burner of explosive bursts and an incredibly unique lead guaranteeing an absolute hit. It only gets better when one of the hottest acts on the scene, Tuff City Kids, lend their talents for a remix and turn ‘Devils Sigh’ into an analog heavy, future-retro banger that’s as different as it is the same as the original, creating a perfect alternative to the already killer original.

Wrapping things up, La Fleur takes it a little slower and deeper with ‘Outbreaker’ by utilizing lush organic percussion and washed out guitars to build a tune that will be the anthem for early mornings, open airs and beach sessions alike. We couldn’t be happier to have the first lady of Watergate back at the controls and we think you will agree.

"The recent Time And Space Machine album released on Tirk caused quite a stir. Received by fans, press and pundits with a bright glowing prodigiousness, we just had to have one final foray into the 12" single department. The album’s title track 'Set Phazer To Stun’ was always a favourite with pulsating Krautrock influences, nicely melded with some dirt cheap Farfisa organ, freakbeat drumming and (of course) plenty of Phazer.

For the single release Richard Norris extends the track and goes into rock meltdown; a special, vinyl-bonus version. In the remix department we head off to Italy for one of our favourite Italian’s, Bottin. His brief was 'take the Krautrock psyche soul of this song and Moroder it up'. That's exactly what our man has done. His version builds and builds into a swirling collage of crazy pads, burbling analogue basslines and Italian beats."

We turn to Russia, and Warpp club resident, Bondarev, for our next outing. The title track "The Warpp", named after the club, is a deep and hypnotic affair with subtle synth layers, acidesque squelches, and moody pads.

Following on is "Manshivaan", a more direct track which brings the energy up with its chunky drums and heavy sub-bass.

Fellow Warpp residents Ewan Rill and K Loveski takes on remix duties for "The Warpp" and turns the original deep track into a progressive peak-time bomb!

Wrapping things up is Argentina's Mayro, who returns to Lowbit after his successful original EP released earlier this year and molds "Manshivaan" into a big and chunky floor filler.

Our newest guest mix is by Sri Lankan DJ/Producer, Subandrio. His parents immersed him in the music scene since a young age, and he has never looked back. In fact, his career has been in steady ascent since the 1990s. Subandrio plays regularly around the world, as well as in his home country. Anyone into the international progressive house and techno scene will be familiar with his name, and with his quality productions (including releases on labels such as Sudbeat Music, Balance Music, Beatfreak Recordings, Mango Alley, 3rd Avenue, ICONYC, and many others).

Our Institution crew had the great fortune to dance to a live set by Subandrio, (back-to-back with his fellow countryman Nishan Lee) in Amsterdam at the intimate Modern Agenda boat party, 2018. He is super entertaining to watch, with his subtle smile and nod as he plays. Listen to this mix: his dark and groovy progressive style will surely reveal itself to you as well.
