Continuing a strong start to the year, SLC-6 Music welcomes Rocio Portillo, Karim Sar Sar and Valley (AR) to the label with a new single. Hailing from Argentina, this trio of rising artists made a memorable impression with their first collaborative effort in 2022. Released in October, their 'Ananda' EP for Madloch's 3rd Avenue caught the attention of organic and progressive house DJs, in turn making them a trio to watch going forward. Now, presenting just their second ever collaborative project, Rocio, Karim and Valley (AR) debut on SLC-6 Music with 'Condor Plateado', alongside remixes from Pedro Belardo, Jesuan M and Maximo Lasso. Picking up on the moods of their previous work, the trio crafts a soulful slice of organic house where sultry sax riffs and fluttery flute motifs delight over pulsating grooves and exotic percussion. Also making his label debut is Pedro Belardo who provides the first interpretation of 'Condor Plateado'. The Buenos Aires resident goes for a dubbier approach, using the main themes sparingly, while a wealth of squelchy synths, timely tonal tension and thumping beats make for a huge peak time romp. Fresh off a sensational EP for Antrim's Or Two Strangers to end the year, Argentinean artist Jesuan M takes 'Condor Plateado' into his world of contemporary progressive house, as hook-heavy rhythms, hip-swinging grooves and an emotional break make for memorable dance floor moments. Rounding out the release, Maximo Lasso makes his label debut with a huge progressive rendition , one where heartfelt chord changes and poignant atmospheric phrasing blanket driving grooves for the most emotive version on the project.

As we all know & expect from Kamilo we have an outstanding production, Kamilo brings us a solid 4/4 with beautiful pads and melody throughout, This is a proper Progressive Gem and sure to land well.

Then we follow up with two remixes, the first coming from another legend in the making NOIYSE Project.

This is the first outing from a production perspective from NOIYSE on Pro B, and we hope not to be the last. What is brought to you here is a no-nonsense dance floor destroyer, This comes with all those recognizable elements that you get from NOIYSE whilst keeping a lot from the original throughout, This is a big proper driving beast. 

And finally, to close out we welcome back Micke who joins forces with our Bossman Brent Lawson, what the guys bring you here is a different direction, elements of Breaks and a 4/4 built-in, which moves along smoothly, you are then hit with an epic build-up, breaks, melody and pad driven before the 4/4 hits you once more. This is another we are very proud of and hope you enjoy.

Deepwibe Underground’s -102C opens the new year by welcoming Lucas Zárate to the label for his first project. Hailing from Argentina, Lucas Zárate first emerged in 2022 with releases via Balkan Connection South America, Bekool Records, Droid9 South America and RYNTH. Immediately recognized for his organic and progressive sounds, the Tucumán resident would quickly earn the support of Gorje Hewek, Modd, Nick Warren and many more. Having also appeared on Deepwibe Underground’s Digital division, Lucas now begins the new year on the label’s organic affiliate -102C with ‘Iridescence’.

The title track finds Lucas pairing with fellow countryman Mauro Masi for the lone collaboration on the release. The duo masterfully synthesizes their talents into one gorgeous organic vision that is ‘Iridescence’. A tight, punchy groove and flickering percussive arrangements provide the backbone for a soulful vocal phrasing and spirited instrumentation to paint a bucolic inspired narrative. Its youthful musicality should make for an amazing mood on the dance floor, and it never drifts over the right side of cool across its concise six minute running time.

The remaining two selections find Lucas operating in solo capacity, beginning with ‘One Chance’. Picking up where ‘Iridescence’ left off, Lucas crafts a tough, yet spacious groove with elusive bass tones and a phasing atmospheric tension. Once again, it’s an array of beautiful elements which converge above the thumping groove, from brassy tones to heavenly vocal choirs and processed pianos, it’s a colourful narrative which perfectly sets the stage for a full vocal reveal, one which ultimately carries the journey to a heartfelt finale.

The release concludes the nature-centric sounds of ‘The Way You Loved Me’. Lucas assembles an impressive storyboard of musical motifs here, perhaps none more prominent than the primary lead which flutters it’s way atop soulful vocal phrasing, vibrant plucks and perhaps the most impressive percussive arrangement on the release. A fitting conclusion to an exceptional EP, which would have to be considered Lucas’ best work to date. Don’t miss it.
