Sound Avenue opens the month of February by showcasing new interpretations of Madloch and Subnode's 'Journey to the Unknown'. Released in October of last year, the track's subdued pulse and smoky resonance anchored the double a-side release and now sits as a highlight in the duo's discography. Supported by deep, organic and progressive house DJs alike, Sound Avenue now looks to bring new life to the track by inviting Haen, Circulation and Gux Jimenez to re-imagine it for 2023's winter season.

The release concludes with Gux Jimenez making his label debut with the third and final interpretation of 'Journey to the Unknown'. Hailing from Colombia, Gux Jimenez has been a fixture of his country's electronic music movement for over a decade. Best known for his emotive take on the progressive genre, the Cartagena resident has showcased his music via trendsetting landing spots such as Clubsonica, Juicebox, Mango Alley, Proton's Particles, UV and his own OzLand imprint, while earning support from world class DJs Above and Beyond and Armin Van Buuren. Now, adding Sound Avenue to his resume, Gux debuts on the label with a nostalgic rendition of 'Journey to the Unknown'. Built around a thumping percussive framework, Gux focuses on rhythm and groove across the first act, nicely balanced with a healthy dose of colourful effects and arpeggiated sequences. Looking to bring greater emotional depth, the main break unveils balmy overlays, delicately blanketing prismatic arps, as modulation peaks for an uplifting finale.

We're extremely excited to present our next release of our FRESH DOWNLOAD franchise: German/South African duo LADS bringing you a uniquely smooth melodic vibe with their original track 'Gare de l'Est'. The release turned out to be this super pleasant, always evolving, smooth & hypnotic gem - slightly beyond LADS' usually deep and melancholic style, but featuring this typical signature groove of LADS. We love it!

Mix German finesse and technicality with South African groove and soul – both key ingredients to the recipe that is LADS. Meeting online, no not Tinder, this half German, half South African DJ/production duo based out of Dusseldorf, Germany combine their strengths to bring you a trademark sound filled with emotion, texture and unpredictability underpinned with an unmistakable LADS groove. 

It is this formula that has resulted in releases on labels such as Lost& Found,  Akbal, Sound Avenue, Magician on Duty, Buddha Bar, Mango Alley, Wayu Records and many more. Their remix of Bachir Salloum's 'Sunflower Field' hit #1 on the Top 100 Organic House / Downtempo Charts on Beatport and their remix of Eli Nissan's 'Arpu' on Lost & Found hit #2 on the Top 100 Progressive House Charts on Beatport. 

LADS describe their music as deep, organic, textured and thought provoking. They aim to create music that encourages deeper, intentional listening and upon the 10th listen still aids in the discovery of something new in their tracks.

"As the end of winter draws nearer, we’re excited to get the new year started with Jakhira & Modulo’s Alignment.
First up is Rimbu, a sonic exploration into uncharted territories which effortlessly blends piano, violins and cello with a thunderous bassline and thumping percussion.
Next is Moonchild, which was born out of classical instrumentation inspired by dreams of the night sky.
Then we have twin sister Her, the first of Jakhira’s solo efforts, in all her playful glory with guitar riffs and innocent keys dancing atop the ever-evolving pads underneath.
Which leaves us with Searching For Utopia, to close off the EP in deeper terrain. Swirling synth pads and a scintillating string bring a touch of sci-fi to the menagerie of flavours.
