The latest release from Movement Limited welcomes Not Demure to the label for his debut EP. Born in Argentina and now based in Spain, Not Demure first emerged in 2017 with releases courtesy of Hitclub and TOTUM Music. Gaining momentum and fans quickly, the Mar del Plata native went on to showcase his music via LAIKA Sounds, Magician On Duty and Univack. Also finding a home on Movement Recordings, Not Demure's contribution to the label's 'ProgNoesis' Vol. 1 collection went on to be played by Guy J and still sits at the top of his Beatport best sellers almost a year later. Now stepping up to label affiliate Movement Limited for his first appearance, Not Demure presents his much anticipated 'New Resilience' EP.

Beginning with the title selection, Not Demure continues to explore the organic side of his studio repertoire with great success. From warm, rhythmic beginnings comes redolent themes and exotic percussive arrangements. It's an amalgamation of trippy sonics and free flowing organics which proves most captivating, touching the listener with moments of hope and reflection, as a bed of dulcet beats and thumping bass stabs translates that message to the dance floor. Gentle melodic fragments and wispy atmospheres emerge into the break, where a wonky musical theme takes centrestage. Striking in execution and perfectly setting in motion a timely drop and dreamy finale.

The two-track showcase concludes with the alluring sounds of the title selection 'Are You In'. Possessing an appealing undercurrent, it's dulcet beats and wavy synth phrasing creates a warm glow from the outset. Pensive atmospheres and hazy harmonics add further to that narrative, as sheets of dusty percussion and meandering effects push forward to an amorous conclusion. It rounds out two inspired tracks from Not Demure, who makes his Movement Limited debut in fine style.

The latest release on Madloch's 3rd Avenue imprint welcomes Hyunji-A from Montreal, Canada back to the label for the remix EP of "Sunset Drive". In Montreal, she played at venues such as Newspeak and Stereo.

Last year, Hyunji became the Sound Avenue Talks podcast show host, where she interviews artists from the SA label group.

Baez, Yumi Kobayashi, and Ric Niels got invited to make a remix on this EP.

Presenting their final release of 2021, Nikko.Z's Dopamine White welcomes Sinan Arsan to the label for his debut EP. Hailing from Turkey, Sinan first emerged as a producer in 2019 with a release on Stellar Fountain's Black division, before going on to land projects via Droid9 South America, Future Avenue and Soundteller Records across 2020. 2021 proved to be a breakout year for the Ankara resident, his trippy progressive sound earned recognition from some of the genre's premiere tastemakers, while earning a place on longstanding imprints such as Droid9 and Mango Alley. Now ending the year in style, Sinan adds Dopamine White to his resume with a three-track showcase entitled 'Eloquence'.
Sinan's career momentum continues to rise with the dark yet emotive sounds of the title selection. Played out over nine minutes, its character-rich groove and hypnotic rhythms set the foundation for an evolving musical narrative. Pixie-like fragments come in waves across the first act, playing off layers of driving percussion, while timely drops and sweeping effects carry into the main break. Stripping down to a cavernous ambience, the interlude builds anticipation as colourful arps and glowing atmospheres unite for a classy crescendo and heartfelt finale.
The EP moves forward with the deep, chugging vibes of 'Lagniappe'. Undeniably progressive, its robust bassline, squelchy stabs and gaseous effects make for anticipatory beginnings. Rolling percussion adds swing to the framework, while clustered melodies play off the well carved low end, as a smooth atmospheric rise initiates the break. Furthering its mystical leanings, the main motifs trail across the centrepiece, creating a trippy yet rhythmic sonic landscape, perfectly setting the stage for a smooth build and heads down final act.
The third and final selection 'Demure' continues the EP's mesmerizing melodic storyboarding. Deep and fluid throughout, Sinan's organic designs are mysterious yet emotive, tactfully merging for a momentous mindset-style groover. Looking to bring greater emotional depth, the main break adds colour through arpeggiated phrasing, gently building anticipation onwards to a goosebump worthy finale. It rounds out a stunning collection of music from Sinan Arsan who closes out 2021 with his best EP of the year, making for a memorable Dopamine White debut. Don't miss it.

Tash's Movement Recordings opens the new year by welcoming Not Demure back to the label for his first EP. Having released his 'New Resilience' EP via Movement's Limited division in November of last year, Not Demure now steps back up to the main imprint with 'Aifos', alongside a remix from Weird Sounding Dude.

As Not Demure continues to find a healthy balance between organic and progressive house, it is the melodic sounds of the title selection which lead the release off. Backed by punchy beats and a warm, chunky groove, its laid-back energy is fluid from the start. As the break approaches, tantalizing arps and warm, textural drifts marry beautifully atop layers of neatly tailored percussion. The main arp continues to rise across the centrepiece, flowing through effervescent modulation and tactfully building towards an emotive final movement. The companion piece 'Deux' follows with an even greater emotional disposition. Colourful synth phrasing and fragmented melodies blanket a warm, voluptuous groove for an immediate heartwarming effect. Timely vocal accents add further depth across the break, before smoothly segueing into a seductive finale.

Making his label debut and providing the lone interpretation of 'Aifos' is Weird Sounding Dude. Based in Bangalore, the Indian artist is now considered one of his country's most beloved progressive house producers. As a favourite of the genre's premiere tastemakers, Weird Sounding Dude has compiled an impressive discography with standout releases via Anjunadeep, Hoomidaas, The Soundgarden and Sudbeat Music, while receiving play and support from Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren and Guy J. Coming off his best year to date, Weird Sounding Dude gets 2022 off to a stylish start with a stellar take on 'Aifos'. Clocking in at nine magical minutes, the Bangalore resident finds success with a sleeker, more dubbed out approach. Pulsating grooves and dusty percussion marry beautifully with muted chord stabs and balmy atmospheres. Hopeful pads continue to rise across the main break, bringing moments of calm, while looping rhythms and a wave of noise spark a groove-centric drop and effects-laden finale. Intelligent and danceable, it goes down as another stand out production for Weird Sounding Dude, as Movement Recordings kicks off 2022 with a sensational first offering.

Back for a third sonic voyage into the world of deep and sensual progressive house, GMJ & Matter welcome 10 artists, both seasoned regulars and label newcomers, as they showcase “Meanwhile Excursions, Vol. 3”.

Opening the 2023 edition, Sri Lankan and US duo, Dimuth K & Forerunners create a smooth rolling groove from where “Exit Reality” flows in melodic rivulets, eerie synth lines and ambient effects. Hitting its stride post-breakdown, hypnotic patterns provide dancefloor vibrancy. Continuing the coruscating rhythmic vibe, EMPHI and Zankee Gulati deliver trademark poise – the Swedish star generating an immaculately cadenced synth line and textured pads on the club-friendly “Azur”, and the Australian producer bearing fruit with shimmering and free-flowing lead lines and bouncing bass groove on “HereAfter”.

The next quartet ably demonstrate a collection of artists at the peak of their powers, Armenia’s Ruben Karapetyan builds bass dominance and seething sultry dancefloor prowess in the early movements of “Erechtheum” before a mirrored synth line blossoms post-breakdown. Seasoned Greek producer, Simos Tagias, needs little introduction to the Meanwhile faithful and “Reality” is replete with 24-carat production pedigree as silky smooth and Vangelis-esque passages swim across a chunky backdrop. From the Balearic Islands to Belarus, late-night gems sparkle in the moonlight where Not Demure generates spine-tingling emotion with “Vis Pace” through his gradually evolving melodies that reach a stunning zenith at the breakdown. Rising and falling within a sturdy beat, sub bass and light percussive surround, the result is a progressive masterclass. The crunchy bass sequence and emotive chord sequences of “Upside Limit” are a deft reminder of Michael A’s production talent. Developing with ease, and stamped with a watermark of sonic identity, the Michael A sound is easily identifiable.

Making their Horizons debut Ezequiel Anile and Nicolas Petracca have been creating waves in the progressive house fraternity for more than 5 years as EANP. “Forget” is no exception with its delicately arpeggiated pattern and flowing stripped-back mid-section that is then juxtaposed alongside hefty beat in the latter stages. The uplifting chord progressions and ethereal atmosphere of “Just a Toy” finds Anton Brazhenov creating a dense and swirling aural collage with his Meeting Molly moniker, holding firm against a mesmerising grooved backdrop. The free-flowing sequences and organic-sounding synth work of Tommi Oskari rounds Vol. 3 off with the aptly titled “Morning on Mercury”. Delicately pitched, twinkling keys and superbly programmed bassline create an innovative sound which picks up the pace in the final stages after a captivating trip across outer the solar system.

10 new tracks of shimmering and ethereal beauty highlight a progressive voyage of discovery within “Meanwhile Excursions, Vol. 3”.

Kindisch taps Los Angeles based duo Dance Spirit to deliver the next ‘Kindisch Stories’ release, which features their atmospheric remix of YokoO’s ‘Arid’.

Following releases on Superfreq, Rebellion, Desert Hearts and Supernature, the duo of Christopher Mohn and Reagan Denius now showcase the full scope of their sound with 13 originals and remixes.

Transforming the original that possesses a desert-like feel, Dance Spirit increases the enveloping atmospherics of ‘Arid’ while staying true to its steady, hypnotic essence. Eerie vocals and intricately layered tones highlight the mesmerizing track.
