After kicking off the new year with an EP by the duo „Aliot & Bunbeck“, the second EP comes from a Russian DJ & Producer „Mr Morek“. 
Already having released on „Sincopat“ & „Moscoman’s“ „Disco Halal“, he’s no stranger to the electronic music scene anymore and we are happy to welcome him with his debut on SOULFOOLED. 
The EP is opened with a track called „Immunity“. A word that, these days finds a lot of attention in different political sections - so also the track breaks through any walls and barriers of genres and stereotypes.
On the second track „you can hear a lot of different fractions of electro house and melodic techno.“, claims Morek. „For me, this is something new and therefore I decided to call it „Ampere House“.
To finish off the EP, Mr Morek has chosen to write something more mysterious & magical. „Arcanum“ sticks to it, though not losing any from of energy, that has been built up through out the entire EP.

About the release
DJ Zombi has been around for decades and with this EP proves he's continuing to be at the forefront for a very long time! He's the driving force behind the established Tel Aviv based label; Beat Boutique. As a producer he's known for his unique take on progressive house. 'Let It Go' is collaboration between DJ Zombi & percussion hero Nadav Dagon, which ended up in a warm, dreamy, organic / progressive house record where layers of mysterious pads, iconic synths and enigmatic arpeggios are accompanied by traditional percussion and a big and full low-end. It's 100% made for these hot summer open airs! Fellow countryman, Millero, took this single into a more driving, clubby direction adding a groovy bassline without staying far from the original.

I am so very excited to share Sangita as this is my first ever track!! (Co-produced with Nic Cammelli) 
'Sangita' means 'Music' in Sanskrit. Sangita also means 'combining, converging, bringing together'. This very same music connected Nic and Sylvetje, and soon after combining their musical tastes and skill sets, a beautiful creative flow happened and Sangita came to life. 
Sangita is an energetic track with an uplifting desert feel and high energy drops that shake the dance floor. It blends deep, organic and melodic sounds through the acid guitar vibrations and a punchy, consistent bass line.

It's time for the third part of Callecat's Symbiosis project! For 'Symbiosis' the guys took a unique approach; asking their producer friends and artists they admire to create a song together. After locking themselves up in the studio for a year they ended up with twelve finished collaborations, two of which you'll find here on the third single.

Manual Deep resident artist Arteforma makes his return to the label whilst his latest release, 'Natural' (feat. D'aria), is still buzzing.

Musique de Lune opens the new year by welcoming ZooL to the label for his debut EP. Emerging in 2011, French producer ZooL gained recognition with a string of releases via his D&B Records imprint. The Bergues resident would go on to quickly establish himself within the French electronic scene, producing a brand of deep musical house nicely geared for the dancefloor. Although relatively quiet across the next decade, 2023 would see ZooL re-emerge with a fresh organic style that has found a home on Bekool Records and Cafe De Anatolia. Now, continuing to establish himself as 2024 begins, ZooL makes his Musique de Lune debut with a three-track showcase entitled 'Safaga'.

Tash’s Movement Recordings opens the month of February with a new EP from Simos Tagias. Since first emerging nearly a decade ago, the Greek artist has continued to earn the praise of progressive music tastemakers Cid Inc, Guy J, Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren. Revered imprints such as Higher States, Juicebox Music, Mango Alley, meanwhile, Proton Music, Replug and Sudbeat have all served as recent landing spots for his groovy melodic sound. Movement Recordings has also been a comfortable home for the Simos, having released sixteen originals and six remixes since making his debut in 2014 with a contribution to the label's popular Technical Progress series. Now, following ‘Vacuum’, a well-received single via Dopamine Music to end the year, Simos begins 2024 with his latest Movement Recordings EP ‘Katla’, alongside remixes from Alex O’Rion and Weird Sounding Dude. 

Returning to the label for the lone interpretation of ‘Katla’ is Alex O’Rion. Rising out of a successful career as a trance producer, Dutch artist Alex O'Rion took inspiration from the likes of John Digweed, Nick Warren and Sasha, to forge a path into the world of progressive house. Alex's groovy melodic sound found its footing quickly thereafter, as he notched releases via Nick Warren's Hope Recordings and Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat Music. Moving forward, 2020 proved to be a breakout year for the Nijkerk resident. On the strength of projects for Replug and The Soundgarden, Alex rose to Beatport's #3 best-selling progressive house producer, paving the way for 2021 releases via Guy J's Lost & Found and UK behemoth Anjunabeats. Also, no stranger to Movement Recordings, Alex made his label debut in 2020 with the well received 'Blue' EP, before going on to remix LADS in 2021, while 2022 saw the release of ‘Relic’, a Beatport Progressive House Top 10 release. Now returning to the label for his second remix, Alex dials in a gorgeous rendition of ‘Katla’. Bringing a progressive state of mind, Alex carefully balances the emotion of the original with his own melodic groove-centric sound. Reprocessed vocal elements and vibrant musical clusters steal the air atop punchy beats and chunky grooves, while a cosmically correct break adds just the right amount of tension for the ultimate club-effective vibe.

Juicebox Music's 74th release sees us revisiting one of the label's biggest releases from a few years ago - Kabi & K Loveski's EP featuring "Lost in Roses" & "Whisper From The Moon", now with fresh remixes by Maezbi & ARTN. The original EP, released back in August 2021, gained massive support from tastemakers & fans alike thanks to the exclusive combination between Argentina's 'Kabi' and Russia's 'K Loveski'. The duo showcased an incredible balance of unique styles that fused together perfectly. 'Lost In Roses' painted a more euphoric mood with its lush melodies & energetic drive while 'Whisper From The Moon' dug deeper with it's funk-inspired groove and sprinkled riffs. Making his label debut with a special rendition of Kabi & K Loveski's "Lost in Roses" is Argentina's rising star - Maezbi. Better known to his family & friends as Maximiliano Biondi, Maezbi is relatively new to the industry but made such a huge impact with his production work, namely his releases on Nick Warren's 'The Soundgarden', Hicky & Kalo's 'Plaisirs Sonores' and more recently Guy Mantzur's 'Plattenbank'. For his remix of "Lost in Roses, Maezbi captured the soulful essence of the original's memorable elements with innovative & effective production techniques. Returning to one of his home bases is Aly Nahleh, aka ARTN, for his first remix on Juicebox Music. The Lebanese-born, currently based in Turkey, artist made his debut on our imprint with an EP featuring "Blue Frog" & "Lopos", back in late 2022, planting his foot as a forward-thinking and sonically charged artist, gravitating towards the groove & funkier side of progressive. Approaching production under the "quality over quantity" ethos, ARTN's discography boasts of limited but fantastic releases on Dmitry Molosh's 'Proportion', Mango's 'Mango Alley' & Jelly For The Babies' 'One of a Kind', to name a few. It only made sense to invite ARTN back on board to remix Kabi & K Loveski's "Whisper From The Moon", re-igniting funk & sophisticated grooves to the next level.

Juicebox Music's 75th release sees another revisitation of one of our biggest releases from last year - Chaum & Hobin Rude's EP featuring "Cressida" & "Mesec", now with remixes by Tonaco and Anton Borin & Montw. The original EP, released in August 2023, was a special project between Angelos Moustai and Ogden Cerovic, lending their absolute strengths into this collaboration. The release saw massive support across the board culminating in "Cressida" being featured on Beatport's "Best of Progressive 2023" chart towards the end of the year.

Brazil's talented star - Tonaco, makes his label debut through a fantastic remix of Chaum & Hobin Rude's "Cressida". Better known to his friends and family as Marcus Oliveira, Tonaco made a steady and respectable climb through the industry with strong productions in each release he put out, more notably on GMJ & Matter's 'meanwhile', Tripswitch & Steve Marx's 'onedotsixtwo' and Mango's 'Mango Alley'. For his remix of "Cressida", Tonaco shifted gears and aimed straight for the jugular with a strong & heavy groove, hypnotic pads, glistening synths and an ode to the original melody in style.

Returning to the label for their 2nd appearance is the dynamic Russian duo of Anton Borin & Montw with a spellbinding remix of Chaum & Hobin Rude's 'Mesec'. They made their debut on Juicebox Music through a 2-track EP featuring "Obsidian" & "Firebird" back in late 2023, a juxtaposed pair that showcased their creative & technical skills. Shining as individual producers as well as together, Anton Borin & Montw's deliver every time and their rendition of Chaum & Hobin Rude's 'Mesec' is no less. An addictive low-slung groove with trippy percussive work, unpredictable synth-lines and re-interpreting the original material makes this truly special.

Introducing part 1 where we see progressive house super star Hernan Cattaneo team up with Australia based power house Jamie Stevens, giving their magic touch to 'Beyond Perceptions', a joined effort between Callecat and Nick Varon. Musique de Lune rounds out the month of October by welcoming Luke Santos back to the label for a special remix edition of 'I Am Everything'. As a DJ for well over two decades, Argentina born, Netherlands based artist Luke Santos has delighted crowds across the world with his far-reaching sound. Long-standing events such as ADE, WMC, The Love Parade and more have been recurring locations for Luke's exquisite taste and impeccable programming skills; while GU Music, Sudbeat and The Soundgarden have been global music brands to request his talents. A near decade-long career as a producer indicates his selective nature, with Cid Inc's Replug Records, Guy Mantzur's Plattenbank and Global Underground being the primary landing spots for his stunning creations. 2022 would see Luke return from a five-year hiatus via Musique de Lune Noire with the well-received album project 'I Am Everything'. A release which not only holds the distinction of being Noire's inaugural release, but received praise from Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren. Now, two years on from the release, Luke makes his debut on Musique de Lune's primary imprint with a special remix edition of 'I Am Everything', featuring Hernán Cattáneo & Marcelo Vasami, Kasper Koman & Alex O'Rion, Noraj Cue & Unders and Patrice Bäumel.

Progressive House phenoms Kasper Koman and Alex O'Rion are up next with a massive rendition of 'I Am Human'. Kas:st release the anthemic ‘Hold Me To The Light’ on Afterlife with a Tale Of Us remix.

The French duo Kas:st are behind the highly-anticipated vocal track that has been creating special moments in recent sets. The original is arranged to journey through downtempo, piano and vocoder sections as well as a powerful peak. Tale Of Us’ remix extends its climax into a true dancefloor epic. The vocal breakdown, subtle progressions and monumental sound design is the perfect complement to Kas:st’s own masterpiece.

On the record’s B-side, ‘The Hymn Of Fallen Dreams’ switches the title-track’s lyrics for a more understated, ghostly lead line whilst retaining its extended form. Closing track ‘Be Yourself’ is the most direct of the four with a groove and deep pulse primed for the peak-hours.

Mind Against are back on Afterlife with two emotive, dancefloor masterpieces. ‘Walking Away’, featuring the deeply-affecting vocals of Port St. Willow, centers around uplifting harmonic elements and a resonant drum pattern. It strikes that special balance of light and dark which makes Mind Against’s tracks uniquely cathartic. ‘Bloom’ is more a melancholy, downtempo interpretation of their vision. The percussion is restrained and sits deep below atmospheric pads and piano chords, eventually arriving at a gradual and subtle peak.
