K-os Theory and SIAAH are making their debut on Sirin Music together with “Del Nava” EP. What do two artists coming from different countries and cultures have in common? Their roots lie in local ethnic and folk sounds, which mix perfectly with Melodic House, DownTempo and all other gentle and slow electronica. Both tracks from the release are a perfect example of the concept and was recorded in collaboration with another two artists —  Vale is featured on “Del Nava” and Lora Ute is on “Farda”

SIAAH is a producer, DJ and Audio Engineer, who was born in Tehran, Iran, and now lives in Berlin. His tracks are touched and inspired by the Persian folk music. Since 2010, when the artist started his music career, he played piano and setar, has been an audio engineer and finished at SAE in Berlin, and created his own music, obviously. SIAAH’s approach to music production is using ambient sounds as a foundation for building grooves. That helps him to express his feelings and mood through his music. 

Parth Mehta, known by his artist name, K-os Theory is a non-conformist & passionate music producer from Mumbai, India. He loves experimenting and creating fusions with ethnic Indian, African, Arabic elements with more modern sounds. His music has brought him global recognition after releases on labels such as Pipe & Pochet, Lump Records, Shango Records, Traum Schallplaten, Wood, Bullfinch, Patent Skillz Records, Egothermia Records, 238W, Groove9 Records and many others.

Presenting their first and much anticipated artist album, about:river returns to Sound Avenue with long player ‘24 Years Apart'. Based in Estonia, about:river is a unique collaborative project between father and son. Conceptualized by father Oleg in 2018, the following year saw his 12-year-old son Ervin join the project. Initially a clarinet and keyboard player, Ervin quickly became a committed member of the project, contributing not only to live performances but also in the creative process, writing the main themes of their musical creations. Their productions tell a dynamic and sometimes epic story that happens to be set in a dance-groove environment. Since first emerging, the duo's fresh style has continued to delight both their fans and contemporaries, with the world's premiere electronic music tastemakers championing their work. An initial bond with Sound Avenue began in 2021 when the duo took to remodeling Nopi's ‘Flatter', before going on to release the thematic three tracker ‘Three Drops of Dopamine' earlier this year. With twenty-four years separating this elusive father and son duo, it seems only fitting that they unveil the biggest project of their young careers via Sound Avenue, an expansive audio travelogue appropriately titled ‘24 Years Apart'. 

Comprised of twelve distinctive and equally compelling creations, it is the deep, nourishing sounds of' ‘Seven Cats' which sets the tone for the album. Instantly seductive, its delicate beats and dulcet pianos provide the perfect prelude to 'Frozen'. As the album's first showcase piece, about:river flexes their free thinking muscles with evolving, emotional and hypnotizing structures, allowing the listener to relish in the groove, building anticipation towards an array of colourful keys and warm atmospheric phrasing. Continuing to diversify their portfolio, selection three ‘Snowing Inside' lands as the collection's second showcase piece and finds the duo at the peak of their creative powers, juxtaposing soulful instrumentation over exotic drum arrangements for a heartfelt seven-minute journey. Meanwhile, on ‘Two Birds' dusty percussion flickers through misty textural refrains, while melancholic keys paint a wondrous rustic landscape. 

about: river's knack for storytelling resonates across selection five, the aptly titled ‘Moonlight'. Full of detail and idiosyncrasies, it's a dimly lit voyage where the duo explores a storyboard of glassy motifs, balmy swells and meandering musical coactions. A perfect mood to introduce the eager optimism of ‘Pluck', a near eight minute piece where about:river reaffirms their ability to tip a dance floor over the edge through pulsating grooves, cascading aquatics and playful acid lines. Moving forward, ‘Disappeared' maintains a confident club energy, carrying that momentum from its predecessor and plunging you into a wormhole of rebounding rhythms, kaleidoscopic melodies and frayed textural bliss. The duo's relentless curiosity for rhythmic experimentation basks in retro-radiance on ‘Underworld', as broken beats, nasally lines and timely piano stabs emerge from a delirious blur of harmonic fragments.

Presenting their final release of the year, Antrim’s Or Two Strangers welcomes Jesuan M back to the label for a new EP. Hailing from Argentina, Jesuan M has continued to rise since first emerging in 2019. Forging a bond with Or Two Strangers early in his production journey, Jesuan made his label debut in 2020 with a contribution to the label’s popular ‘Strangers 2’ collection, a track co-produced with Andres Moris which saw play from Hernan Cattaneo. Also, a regular on label affiliate Strangers Beats, Jesuan would once again pair with fellow countryman Andres Moris for the 2021 offering ‘Blooming Memories’, before going on to release what would have to be considered his best work to date in ‘Midnight Thoughts’, a two-track showcase which landed on Or Two Strangers last year. Now, as 2022 winds to a close Jesuan makes a much-anticipated return to the label with ‘Last Words’.

Beginning with the quirky hooks and powerful drive of ‘Last Words’, Jesuan flexes his free-thinking muscles with a creation equally at home on a peak time dance floor or floating above a festival skyline. Its tough, rolling groove commands a big presence from the outset, adorned with fiery percussion and electric pulses which drive momentum forward. Cosmic effects and a hip-swinging arp steal the air across the first act, building anticipation towards a dynamic break and suitably euphoric finale.

The companion piece ‘With You’ continues the progressive tone set by its predecessor and ultimately lands with an equally impressive display of craftsmanship. Possessing a dramatic undercurrent, the Argentine works hypnotizing percussion over chugging grooves and fragmented melodies, creating waves of ultrasonic energy across the first act. Its thrilling pulse builds during a dramatic break, where emotive bass swells prelude a thunderous drop and colourful melodic conclusion. An epic end to a fresh two-track showcase, one where Jesuan carefully balances rhythm and groove with technique and musicality.
