Cid Inc's Replug Records welcomes Sebastian Busto to the label with a two track artist showcase. Widely regarded for crafting the deep and progressive spectrum's of house, the Buenos Aires resident has long been a favourite of world class DJs Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren. The Argentinean artist also lays claim to an impressive discography, highlighted by releases on Magician On Duty, Sudbeat Music and The Soundgarden. Now making his much anticipated Replug debut, Sebastian presents his ‘Workaholic' EP.

Sebastian's ability to craft evocative musical journeys is second to none. How he incorporates emotion in subtle yet profound ways is what makes him such a unique producer, and not to mention a favourite of the underground's most prominent tastemakers. The lead track ‘Workaholic' displays that perfectly, with its warm, rolling groove and sleek, rhythmic narrative. Deep, pulsating and full of intricate detail, the first act builds with a veteran's refinement. Developing in waves, exotic drums and subtle shades and tones fill in the framework, before a short break shifts the narrative into emotive territory, as impassioned chord changes and charming effects steal the air. Wondrously musically, melodic fragments carry into the centrepiece, heightening the senses, eventually giving way to a pensive roll and storyboard of astral designs and organic percussion.

The companion piece ‘Journey to Ixtlan' follows suit with an equally impressive display of rhythm, groove and musicality. Pulsating and energetic, it's a creation built around cross cultural motifs and percussive drive. Worldly vocal wails fill the air with a soulful charm, as melodic fragments elevate mood into a well timed second act. Playing out over two magical minutes, the centrepiece is a story within a story, wondrously imaginative and incredibly compelling, as bassy rumblings fade into wistful overlays, before smoothly segueing into a vibrant finale.

In a year that has seen Sebastian unveil his most satisfying work to date, he continues in auspicious fashion with ‘Workaholic'. A fitting Replug debut, with two productions that will not only satisfy the most discerning progressive house aficionados, but also stand the test of time incredibly well.

Years later he is now an owner of the legendary Cat & Dog club and the head of one of the best music schools in Tel Aviv. And of course a big taste producer that land on Sudbeat with two brand new tracks!
'Endless Sun' is a beautiful warm voyage, oozing quality, and pouring emotive goodness from every pore. A sunshine song that feel like a summers day, even when played in a dark warehouse club!
'Empty Spaces' is a moody melodic number, deep yet melodious and builds beautifully, and packs a punch too! One of those tracks that works, with its genre crossing coolness and excellent production.
Fellow Tel Aviv producer Chicola is on remix duties, and delivers a gem of a rework. Energetic and classy, the hallmarks of this legend of the scene. layered wonderfully, combining depth with beauty. A fine remix!

Israeli rising star Khen returns to Sudbeat, after his recent appearances on microCastle, Lost & Found and Plattenbank. This young promise is causing a fuss with his devastating productions, and delivers two gems here for your listening pleasure.

'Never Lose Your Innocence' is full of groove with its sultry bassline paving the way, shrouded in warm pads, cool percussion and nice fx that gel wonderfully as this builds and the arpeggiator develops before unexpectedly changes key, delivering added warmth and lifts the track again. This accomplished gem oozes quality and it’s a real winner.

'Bustan' picks up the energy levels as this dreamlike powerhouse goes hell for leather! The bassline frantically paves the way, while its lushness wraps around your mind, delivering a fantastical effect. Solid stuff!

Alongside Global Underground’s TWENTY (20 Year Anniversary), GUMUSIC celebrates its 100th single release on 20th October with the re-release of a GU classic Roland Klinkenberg Feat DJ Remy ‘Mexico Can Wait’, with a slew of remixes from Gabriel Ananda, Matthew Jonson and more.
 
Some of the remixers are winners from a remix competition we ran earlier in the year, the standards were very high with some big emerging talent entering. Winner Francesco Pico turned in a hypnotic chilled version that set it apart, with Jaap Ligthart, Mateo Murphy, Robert R. Hardy and Pano Manara creating some amazing versions of their own.

Roland Klinkenberg Feat. Dj Remy - Mexico Can Wait (Gabriel Ananda Remix) [PREVIEW]

One of Israel's favorite artist Lonya, returns to Sudbeat with three tracks of sheer delight. As well as returning here, Lonya's work has graced Darkroom Dubs, Plattenbank, Selador and Parquet, alongside his own excellent imprint Asymmetric. 

We begin with the title track 'Obscurity' and all of its enigmatic melancholic goodness. We are treating to whirling synth top line that thrills and locks you in, as it squelches and rasps, but with an air of sophistication, while  Lonya's crisp percussion, and spacious production allows the track to breath, creating a tension and alluring elegance. Deep and deadly.

Moving forward, we find 'The Girl From Raanana'. A mysterious and fantastical deep voyage, as we are signposted by infectious percussion, while sweeping moody pad like sounds swoosh around, while the blippy bass adds an air of mystery. This gem subtly builds and develops it meanders through your mind as the big synth line powerfully increases the temperature.

Picking up the pace with have 'The Verge'. Punchy beats, a solid kick and a stompy bassline set up stall here,and mean business from the off. The bass develops and expands, delivering a powerful dance floor creation to send you wild. Melodious layers compliment as they stack on top, as the anticipation increases and sets the pulse racing.

Presenting his first project of 2019, Cid Inc. returns to Replug Records with ‘Via Karelia’. 2018 saw the Finnish artist release two of progressive music’s most widely acclaimed and sought after EP’s in ‘Bird Cherry’ and ‘Abyss’. The two track offerings yielded play and support from his most revered contemporaries, namely Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren and Guy J. Resounding chart success followed, with the title selections respectively reaching #1 and #2 in the Beatport Progressive House Top 100 tracks. Now after months of road testing and refinement, Cid Inc. unveils his much anticipated ‘Via Karelia’ EP to kick off 2019.

With over a decade of production credits under his Cid Inc. moniker, Replug label boss Henri Hurtig has continued to flourish. Sitting in the upper echelon of progressive music’s elite, the Finnish producer continues his story with ‘Via Karelia’. Following a prelude of warm beats, hip swinging percussion and electric stabs, comes redolent rhythms and  juxtaposed motifs. Tastefully timeless and evolving with an energetic flair, it’s a melodic theme which shifts the narrative further into euphoric territory. Free flowing harmonics add depth and emotion, coming to full fruition during the main break and elegantly peaking for a spirited final act. 

Rounding out the release in fine fashion are the dreamy tech-vibes of 'Turning Pages’. Showcasing a similar rhythmic prowess to its predecessor, a tightly knit core and rugged stabs aim squarely for the dance floor, while an airy, atmospheric resonance delivers a subtle yet powerful emotional response. Irresistibly smooth and unquestionably evocative, it’s seductive cadence pushes forward into an exquisite break, blanketed with glowing pads and iridescent phrasing, before ultimately melting down into a chugging finale.

Dee Montero is next up on the ever reliant music tastemakers that are Do Not Sit On The Furniture Recordings. 

Montero is a UK artist with an international profile. He is a former resident at Cafe Mambo for eight years and has some serious skills in the DJ booth. His productions skills are renowned and revered too, with recent releases on the likes of Lee Burridge's Tale & Tones, Hot Since 82's Knee Deep In Sound, and Solomun's Diynamic, where his 'Halcyon' track spent 5 weeks at #1 on Beatport, and was Pete Tong's #1 Track of 2017. Here he goes deep and emotional on his four latest and great tracks. 

Chakra opens up with spine tingling xylophones dancing over rubbery, rolling grooves. It's a late night cut with a real sense of musical spirit that burrows deep into your brain. Ventura then picks up the pace but stays just as seductive, with supple kicks and more busy but enchanting new age melodies floating up top next to draped piano chords that are full of feeling. Bahia then traps you in a trance, with more sustained pads and chanting vocals that are utterly uplifting. It's a magical cut once more. Last of all, Samsara is another hands in the air, lighters out kind of tune with dreamy pads and superbly crafted melodies that are soft and shiver inducing. 

This really is a classy house EP from one of the best labels in the game.

'Antrim's Or Two Strangers imprint welcomes Sebastian Sellares to the label with 'Epiphany In The Woods'. Also known under his previous moniker Monje, Sebastian hails from one of Argentina’s most talent rich regions in Cordoba. His smooth progressive minded sound has become a favourite amongst old and new school fans of the genre, landing him releases on ICONYC,  PHW Elements and Massive Harmony Records. Now fresh off an EP for AMITABHA to begin the year, Sebastian debuts on Or Two Strangers alongside remixes from Simply City and Golan Zocher. 

The first interpretation of ‘Epiphany In The Woods'’ is provided by Simply City who is making his label debut. Hailing from Chile but now based in Montreal, Cesar Romero aka Simply City has become a fixture in the city’s burgeoning nightlife, earning a spot as one of Stereo’s resident DJs. On the production front he lays claim to releases on Hernan Cattaneo’s Sudbeat Music and Nick Warren’s Hope Recordings. 

Now making his first appearance on Or Two Strangers he delivers a superb take on 'Epiphany In The Woods'. Incredibly rhythmic with fresh design qualities and soft, creamy melodies, it moves elegantly across it's ten minute running time.
