What's the name of this genre? It's hard to call this alternative rock - as it's labeled.

I like how everything is fitting together in this section. It's like half is melting in reverse, while the song moves forward at the same time.

I was wondering if it would return to non-reverse, and it's executed really well.

Digging the vocals a lot, reminds me of Gorillaz. Relaxed despite the many things going on. Nice job!

God in this case was Ludwig Wittgenstein returning to Cambridge after 4 years of war and 10 years of poverty. 
Lyrics are mostly pulled from letters from the time describing Wittgenstein with obvious double meaning. Good bass line too.
