I love the almost retro sounding vibe coming up here, very cool and unique.

God in this case was Ludwig Wittgenstein returning to Cambridge after 4 years of war and 10 years of poverty. 
Lyrics are mostly pulled from letters from the time describing Wittgenstein with obvious double meaning. Good bass line too.
