Decomposition is a mix series by Dead Channel. Fig. 18 comes from M PARENT, and is a live modular set from a practice session prepping for Detour's Hot Mass in January 2023. The Philadelphia based producer latest releases have been on Acid Camp and Sons of Traders. In his own words "Over the course of the last two years I have been challenging myself to build a modular system that allows me to create basslines, atonal melodies, and patterns on the fly...where the machines play me just as much as I play them." Tune in for a taste of this raw, boomed out madness full of dirty acid, ominous tones, and hard hitting rhythms.

Erica Van Berger, a Brazilian sound artist who steps outside of current trends in electronic-industrial music with compositions that focus on heavy, nocturnal atmospheres which are primarily driven by downtempo, sub-bass heavy tracks that are laden with a sinister and seductive ambience.
Her music is tastefully marred by martial industrial rhythms that juxtapose distorted synthesis which injects an acute urgency in her music while remaining beguilingly hypnotic. The electronic pulsation disembody Erica’s signature imperious and abrasive sound design which blurs the lines between electronic music genres and lend narrative ideas to the listener of conflict, turmoil, desire and control.

Amsterdam-based, Finnish-born Elina Tapio is a DJ/radio maker/sonic researcher with a touch for
dark, cerebral sets infused by industrial atmospheres and psychedelic rhythms. Her style is rooted in
her interest in sound studies and philosophy, weaving contemplative narratives unfolding as
disembodiment and estrangement. She is a resident at Mutant Radio (GE) since 2021 co-hosting the
series “Scrying the Landscape” with Hannah Pezzack and onboarding May 2023 on Echobox (NL) for
a residency show with Julia Mira and Vanja Rakic. Some recent local club appearances include
Garage Noord, The Grey Space in the Middle, Radio Radio, in addition international ones at
Traumburg (DE), Sameheads (DE) and Flow Festival (FI).

Named by DJ Mag as an emerging artist in June 2022, she favours higher tempos while delivering fast and funky electro to sweaty dance floors like no other, weaving influences and sounds from her Vietnamese heritage. Since her radio debut in May 2021, it’s been all systems go, with a non-stop string of appearances across the Netherlands’ best clubs, including BIT, Garage Noord, OOST, Perron, PIP and Poing. Whether she's closing Pinkman's 10-year anniversary in Rotterdam last month or closing next week at the lauded DT Camp festival, she's demonstrated a keen ability to deliver a cathartic finale.
