As always Kling Klong gives space for new artists and supports upcoming talents. This time Martin Eyerer & Rainer Weichhold had no doubts signing this debut release from Stuttgart's dj/producer Ninetoes as 'Finder' is obviously a massive stand-out track which has the words 'summer hit' written all over it. So it was just easy to convince Leon and Re-UP from Italy to do the remixes and help to make this release even more oustanding.

Fresh from supporting Claude VonStroke on the massive 25 date North American Urban Animal Tour, J.Phlip, has finally stolen a moment to complete her latest and much anticipated release.  Her last appearance on dirtybird called "Coefficient," found the girl from Illinois flexing her European techno muscles and adding the likes of Surgeon & Dave Clarke to her rapidly swelling fanbase. Her incredible DJ skills on the road have been catching everyone's attention and she is currently prepping to go back on the road with VonStroke for the Europe leg of his tour.

Says VonSroke - One of my best friends from Detroit went out to catch Jessica (J. Phlip) at a warehouse afterparty this year and he summed it up best.  "Man... Jessica plays darker than you, more gritty and real and I'm into it."  This pretty much describes Jessica's much needed niche in the original dirtybird crew.   

This release shows off that gritty side of J.Phlip. "Say My Name" is a bold techno influenced acid dipped hybrid track that works up to its dark climax and then drops it like a bag of hammers. 
The remix on the flip (done in tandem with San Francisco's young Aidan Chambers) is an even more cinematic acid trip and a welcome addition to the original.

I made Chant de Paris the day before my first solo live show at the club showcase in Paris, hence the name for the track and EP.

Over the last 17 years, Sebastian Mullaert has had a long and distinguished career as one half of hardware experimentalist duo Minilogue, with releases on Cocoon, Wagon Repair and Crosstown Rebels. Now opting to focus more on solo endeavors, he hits the ground running with his sublime Ovum debut. Clocking in at a hefty 16 minutes in length, the title track is a heady excursion which flirts with reverb-drenched ouds and meandering keyboard scales, conveying an air of Arabic mystique. An array of acidic synths move in and out of focus, whilst skittering hi-hats and ride cymbals slowly build upon rafts of kinetic energy, all programmed with a deft, organic touch.In an impressive display of versatility, Mullaert promptly flips the vibe from Berlin basement to Ibiza sunset with Recapturing the Radical Self. It starts off similarly enough, with brooding 303 squelches and sharp claps, but slowly ascends into a state of full-on Balearic bliss. Steyoyoke Black presents some fresh blood for their most recent EP and it comes in the form of a producer who releases under the name of David Granha. The spotlight falls generously upon this Spanish born musician, who makes his initial mark on the Steyoyoke Black label with a three track solo EP titled ‘Aria’.

‘Aria’ can best be described as an aural contortion, where classical collides head on with melodic techno. Intertwining elements from each genre to create one defining masterpiece, it is unique and intriguing to the ear. The backbone of the track aligns with its rich melodies and driving energy, its intensity however, revolves around the opera vocals which cut through the techno flavoured sound, adding a whole new depth to 'Aria's' entirety.

The second track on the EP is ‘Opus 52’ and it’s full of hidden surprises, twists and turns. The first thing to hit you is a wall of pulsating bass, accompanied by smooth rolling drum layers and some crunchy tough percussion. A surprise then casually arises, captured perfectly by an electro style synth riff, which is both perky and lofty in its vibe.

‘Tessitura’ is the third and final track on this release and it closes the curtains on ‘Aria’ in absolute style and grace. ‘Tessitura’ embodies a modest zest and plenty of bounce. It’s laced with minuet intricacies and a lustre of quirky soundscapes, encompassing everything you want to hear and feel on the dance floor.

The build up to Gary Beck's debut album on Soma starts here with the first single, 'Before The Crash'. Gary turns out in true fashion with two massive tracks which highlight, without a doubt, his status as one of the top producers around at the moment.
Title track 'Before The Crash' filters in slowly revealing chunky house style drums peppered with a distinctive horn and completed with Garys well defined production skills. The track flows and swells perfectly with ride cymbals splashing in and out giving it power and momentum.
B side 'Hopkin' demonstrates Garys unique ability at creating music specifically designed for peak time club action. This hard hitting percussive track build with hard edged drum patterns that rattle away as a stuttered vocal sample drops in and out. A dynamic track that will no doubt cause dance floors to erupt worldwide.

Next on Mesmeric is a rather large EP from India rising star Vinayak A, with two brand new original tracks & a very cool pack of remixes.

EP Title track "Sands of Goa" is a deep prog-house number with hypnotic loops while the second EP track, "Sometimes It Just Turns Into Reality" starts as an ambient track with tons of intriguing sounds before venturing into House territory. Some extremely well crafted sounds we're very proud to feature on Mesmeric.

To back the two Originals, we're happy to deliver an "All Stars" line up of remixers. Starting with Hernan Cattaneo & SoundExile. The Buenos Aires maestros deliver an awesome re-interpretation of "Sands of Goa", starting with some almost techy sounds before developing one of these magic melodic loops. On the other end of the spectrum, Pig&Dan turn the track into a chunky tech house number. Finally, last remix of the package comes from northern star Michael Cassette, who delivers one of his unique 80s infused melodic & groovy number.

With February's "Ronan Point" ep still wrecking the dancefloors and proving itself to be one of the labels strongest debut releases, Italian duo Macromism return to SCI+TEC with their latest smash, "District Zero." 

Having forged a more minimal path on their early recordings for the likes of Polar Noise and Zoo Technique, it was Mattia & Eugenio's 2011 releases for Inmotion and Carlo Lio's Rawthentic Music, that saw the duo explore the deeper side of tech-house, to great success. 

2012 kicked off at pace and saw Macromism feature their music on Break New Soil, Suara, Kling Klong, Kiara and of course their debut for SCI+TEC. Their latest for the label is lead by "District Zero," otherwise known as the dancefloor. Right, here, right now, on that very spot, the demonic vocal instructs us to move, shake, dance and get sweaty… And backed by the hypnotic beats and stabbing synth riff its impossible not to. 

"News From Barcelona" on the flip takes the far more straight up, heads down approach as it powers forward from the off. Piercing hats and a lurking bassline lay the foundation before we break for some Pathe news. Whilst the broadcast is more British than Spanish, Macromism's beats are firmly rooted in the mediterranean.

Producer, engineer and DJ extraordinaire Reset Robot is the alias of Dave Robertson, an accomplished artist based in Portsmouth on the south coast of the UK. Since launching the pseudonym in 2009 he has traveled the globe, DJing at many of the world’s most influential clubs and festivals, as well as rolling out a slew of well-received productions on labels such as Drumcode, Mobilee, Hotflush and his own platform Whistleblower Records. 

As a DJ Reset Robot’s unassuming approach belies his magnetic appeal and innate ability to craft sets that are polished, enthralling and full of shadowy allure. A self-confessed studio hound, he spends all day, every day at the controls, allowing creativity to flow out of him and refining his skills.
