The weather is warming up and the sun is coming out of its hiding place (in the Northern Hemisphere, anyway). This mix is a pitch-perfect way to kick off the season of park hangs, sunset beverages and daytime festivals. In addition to being a killer DJ and producer, Manchester-based DJ BFTT runs the YCO label—home of bonkers bass and leftfield club music—and has become a key force in the world of cutting-edge UK dance music, particularly in the North. This mix, which flits between house, broken techno and experimental club music, gives a good idea why: it's both classic and out-there, eclectic and approachable, spanning dance music eras from the '90s to the '00s to now.

"The idea was to do something really peak time club focussed," he says. "I think with previous mixes I've tried to do too many things in the space of 1 hour so wanted to hone in on one (or three?) ideas with this one. I've also tried not to care too much about playing new bits—there's some real all time personal faves in this mix! Classics are classic for a reason is alls I'll say!
