Electric Indigo comenzó su carrera como DJ en Viena en 1989 y vivió en Berlín durante tres años [1993-1996] para trabajar en la legendaria tienda de discos Hard Wax. En 1998 fundó female:pression, la red transnacional de artistas femeninas, no binarias y transgénero de la música electrónica que fue galardonada con una mención de honor en el "Prix Ars Electronic" 2009.

Se ha presentado en 45 países de Europa, Asia y América, representando una inteligente y distinguida interpretación de la música techno y la música electrónica. Sus DJ-sets se caracterizan por una amplia variedad con una claridad de visión y un profundo conocimiento de la música y el arte de pinchar. Como compositora y música, crea música para espacios de conciertos y clubes, y ocasionalmente para obras de teatro y cortometrajes. En sus composiciones y presentaciones en vivo, enfatiza la ubicación espacial y las estructuras precisas de sonidos sutilmente elaborados, a menudo generados con síntesis granular. La República de Austria otorgó a Electric Indigo el "Kunstpreis Musik" 2020.

Sus composiciones se estrenaron en festivales como Wien Modern, CTM y Heroines of Sound. El álbum debut de Electric Indigo "5 1 1 5 9 3" salió en Imbalance Computer Music en 2018, su segundo álbum "Ferrum" fue lanzado en Editions Mego en marzo de 2020.

Electric Indigo ha recorrido infinitas cabinas de clubs, entre ellas las de Berghain, Tresor, Suicide Circus, Robert Johnson, Fuse, Gorod, Womb, Colours Studio, Razzmatazz, Moog, Ultraschall o Harry Klein. A true legend and pioneering figure of techno, US sound architect and Geophone label owner Mike Parker breaks in on the RYC waves with a very special set full with his idiosyncratically dark, obsessive, inch-perfectly chiselled 4x4 wares. Before Boiler Room and co. were even a thing, a pioneering platform going by the name of Studio R° used to broadcast techno sets by prominent artists from a secret location in Berlin. This iconic, vinyl-only mix is Parker’s Studio R° set from 2013, now fully remastered for your listening pleasure. Building atmospheres unlike any other, brooding and transcending in equal measure, Parker has laid the foundation to an exceptionally rich body of work. Master of the industrial vocab, peeping towards Detroit but with his defining spin on the early days genre, Parker entices us down the path of steely monumentality and laser-precise mind control. Just as typically mazy, his present mix conjures up all traits of quality Parker material: 909-powered propulsion, enslaving acid whorls, Escher-like fractals. Wild, wild ride ahead.

Rural is always a special event for me. Playing in the Japanese mountains in front of my friends, it means a lot. Last year I was on the Sunday night, full of stars, in between Function and Alessandro Cortini. With a 3 hour slot, I had the chance to dive deep and do what I wanted.
